Why do you say they don't deserve food anyway?
Why do you say hunger is just a "state of mind?"
There is plenty of food available in the United States. More food is thrown away in the United States than anywhere in the world. When the solution requires work on the recipients part, that is somehow unacceptable? Why is that?
Is there anything wrong with planting a garden? Canning? I can tell you, green beans you grew and canned yourself taste much better and don't have all the chemicals you'll find at the store. Peaches, those can well too.
What about paying for food, clothing and keeping a roof over one's head before all of the extras? What do you think about driving your net worth down the street? Can't eat it, costs more than some houses. It's all about priorities. Some people's are just different I guess.
