It took long enough but finally the SCOTUS got something right!!

How do we know it was the right thing?

Because it has the Liberals in a total meltdown over it.

They fear their a ability to commit voter fraud has now been either eliminated or greatly reduced.

People have to show ID's to buy tobacco/alcohol, to get passports, to get jobs, and all sorts of things. People should have to show ID when it comes to picking our elected officials that shows they have the right to vote and states should have the right to make them do so.

WELL DONE SCOTUS!!!

Ok, now that the Court has restored wounded southern white pride to the Slaves States the republicans can then get on with the business of explaining to Hispanics why they're vacillating on immigration reform while at the same time injecting uncertainty into voter's rights if they ever do become citizens........You don't have much longer, GOP.
Have fun while you can.

We live in a fascist corporate state run by men in black robes run amok.

The Supreme Court is bending us over, and sticking it to us...Until we start a revolution, they will keep abusing us.

They no longer work for the people, they work for the highest bidders, and we are just pawns in the game.

The Roberts Court is really more corporatist than conservative. A conservative court would respect precedent and legislative intent, which the Roberts court freely throws out of the window to accomplish a pro-business, anti-consumer agenda. According to the Minnesota La review,“In the eight years since Chief Justice Roberts joined the court, it has allowed corporations to spend freely in elections Read More... in the Citizens United case, has shielded them from class actions and human rights suits, and has made arbitration the favored way to resolve many disputes." This dystopia where individuals have few rights compared with corporations that have unlimited rights with no liability seems to be the new conservative panacea.

Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) said Tuesday that he would prefer to see the minimum wage abolished.

WASHINGTON -- Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.), the ranking Republican on the Senate's labor committee, said in a hearing Tuesday that he would prefer to see the minimum wage abolished.

Alexander's declaration came amid a back-and-forth between a witness from the conservative Heritage Foundation and Sens. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). The trio had been debating what kind of impact a higher minimum wage would have on a theoretical worker, and it seemed Sanders wanted to know whether the witness opposed raising the minimum wage or having a minimum wage at all.(The discussion can be seen here, starting at 2:14.)

"There are some conservatives who do not believe in the concept of the minimum wage," Sanders said to the witness, James Sherk, a labor policy analyst at the think tank.

"Let me jump in," Alexander then said. "I do not believe in it."

The policy debate had been lively, with interruptions all around, and Sanders grew excited at Alexander's interjection.

"So we have a ranking member," Sanders responded. "Alright! There we go!"

Sanders turned to Alexander.

"So you do not believe in the concept of the minimum wage?"

"That's correct," Alexander responded.

"You would abolish the minimum wage?"

"Correct."

"And if someone had to work for two bucks an hour," Sanders continued, "they would work for two bucks an hour?"

Alexander went on to compare a higher minimum wage to a form of welfare. Instead of boosting it, as Congress is now considering, he suggested a common conservative alternative to a federal wage floor -- a higher earned-income tax credit.

Lamar Alexander needs to pull his head out.

Slavery was abolished in the mid-1800's.

This man has lost his mind. Perhaps he should be made to give up his six figure salary and be paid two dollars an hour, then he will find out how ridiculous he sounds, particularly as he works so few hours per year

Lamar has the nerve to want to abolish the minimum wage for millions of lower class workers when HE has the power to vote himself a raise every year or get AUTOMATIC increases.

He is flat NO GOOD !

It's Lamar Alexander that needs to earn less than minimum wage.
And it still be more than he is worth.
