Ah, yes! If a person does not believe exactly in the things that you believe, punish them by jerking a knot in their tails! It's your Christian way! Reminiscent of the Catholic Inquisition in the Middle Ages.
You would be surprised how quickly one "becomes a Christian" when being pulled apart on the rack.
Dismemberment by pulling a person apart by four horses attached to the legs and arms of the heretic was also a "favorite" of the church. You are filled with "love" -- the "love" of torture.
Norton I am going to have to agree with my enemy Dawg on this one. You ask someone to be a Christian, not try to make them. If they believe differently than you, you then finesse them to see it your way. Not punish them my jerking a knot in their tail. When you try to force someone to believe as you do, run them down in their beliefs and as you say either see it my way or I am going to jerk a knot in your tail. Well then you are no longer a Christina for you have become a dictator more or less saying it is my way or no way.

The misfits! The rebels! The ones who see things differently! They're not fond of rules, and they have little respect for the status-quo. You can disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But you can't ignore them. They push the human race forward. Some may see them as crazy, some see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who will do it.

Interesting thought, but I will point out that some of these "misfits" and "rebels" push the human race backward.

Which again goes back to the three kinds of people in the world; the pessimist wanting to go back in time to change the future, the optimist who thinks the future will be/get better on its own and the Opportunist who lives for and enjoys today while doing things to make tomorrow better.

Another situation is that, with a 50%- 50% split, democracy breaks down!

Example: the abortion issue. First one side wins, then the other side reorganizes and wins, etc.

Jesus loves nukes! And so do the fundamentalists, who hope that nukes will be used soon, so the world can proceed to Armageddon and the "fundies" can be "Raptured" and go up to those streets of gold for their promised reward.

That is because the Dems and Repubs have to make it look like to their sheeple followers that they are doing something. So they pass the ball back and forth while actually not getting anything done. But it gives the sheeple a false sense of security that they are fighting for them when bottom line is they are just playing a game to keep the people split while the whole time the Dems and Repubs are having a beer together and laughing at how dumb the sheeple.

ATHEISM
The belief that there was nothing and nothing happened to nothing and then nothing magically exploded for no reason, creating everything and then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason whatsoever into self-replicating bits which then turned into dinosaurs.

ATHEISM
The religion devoted to one's own smug sense of superiority. As there is no way to use logic to prove or disprove the existence of God, atheism is, in fact, based completely on theory and faith. Also its followers tend to be no less educated, dogmatic, and fanatical about their chosen spiritual path than they claim Christians, Jews, or Muslims to be.

Actually, atheists have more education than you Christians. Look it up. The more educated a person is, the more likely that he will be an atheist.

Four words that drive radical Atheists nuts- NO GOD, NO RIGHTS
http://thedaleygator.wordpress.com/2011/06/21...

Charles Darwin said:“I can indeed hardly see how anyone ought to wish Christianity to be true; for if so the plain language of the text seems to show that the men who do not believe, and this would include my Father, Brother, and almost all my best friend, will be everlastingly punished. And this is a damnable doctrine.”

The next Christian response notes that Scripture has much to say about the mind, why some turn away from the idea of God, and why others believe. First, contrary to what many atheists believe, the Bible commands its reader to think and use his/her reasoning powers. God says to Isaiah:“Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD”(Isaiah 1:18). Paul told his apprentice Timothy,“Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything”(2 Tim. 2:7). Paul also told the church in Corinth:“Do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature”(1 Cor. 14:20).

So, any argument that says Christianity promotes some sort of fideistic approach to thinking and belief about God is simply out of touch with the Bible’s teachings.

If that’s true, then why don’t all highly intellectual people believe in God? Scripture says that everyone is born into this world with a spiritually dead mind (Eph. 2:1) that is driven by desires, which are in rebellion against God. Where God is concerned, the natural mind is polluted by sin (Rom. 1:28), blinded toward God (1 Cor. 2:14), thinks in futile ways (Eph. 4:17), is ignorant about God (Eph. 4:18), is openly hostile towards God (Rom. 8:7), and is completely unable to come to God on its own or understand His truth in a saving way (1 Cor. 2:14, 2 Cor. 3:14).

So, if all are born with this condition, how does someone then believe and become a Christian? The answer is twofold. The primary cause of a person’s salvation is God and the secondary cause is the exposure to God’s truth.

The Bible teaches that no one understands or comes to God on their own (Rom. 3:11, John 6:44), so because of that, God is the One who initiates a person’s salvation; He is the One who comes to seek and save the lost. God is the one who first grants repentance (2 Tim. 2:25-26), regenerates the lost person (John 3:8), and it is “by His doing you are in Christ Jesus”(1 Cor. 1:30). Without question, the Bible says that God is the primary cause of a person being enlightened about spiritual truth and being able to accept it.

Much the public schools have berated and disallowed bible study and belief in God. They teach evolution as fact instead of a theory. They are taught that there is not right or wrong. What else with all the teaching against belief would be expected. Higher education does not necessarily equate to higher intelligence. Not all people with high IQs can afford college educations. Nor are all with high IQs interested in so-called higher education. Many are so turned off by the limited intelligence of teachers they would not want to deal with even more arrogant professors who claim knowledge.

Given the obvious slant of educators against religion is it any wonder that more and more are doubting beliefs?

Sinners who wish to deny the existence of God so they don't have to consider themselves sinners will still not escape the final judgement of God. The evidence all points to one Creator, One Truth, and that Truth is also the Way and Life. Not wanting to believe and claiming we are too intelligent to believe will not be an excuse.

I can see how it might be possible for a man to look down upon the earth and be an atheist, but I cannot conceive how he could look up into the heavens and say there is no God.--Abraham Lincoln
