The MAIN reason the disciples of Jesus thought that Jesus would return in their lifetimes, is that Jesus PROMISED to do so.
Matt 16:28 There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.
Matt 10:23 When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. I tell you the truth, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
Matt 24:34 I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
Mark 13:30 I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
Luke 21:32 I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
It turns out that Jesus was (at least -- and counting) 2000 years late in keeping His promise.

CHEERS!
And apparently, you looked it up in the Holy Bible and took it out of context too! I guess we all are lost then...

Like, for example:
1. The Great Flood which covered the entire earth?
2. Jonah being swallowed by a great fish and living therein for three days and three nights? And Jonah praying to God, who caused the fish to vomit Jonah out upon dry land?
3. Lot's wife turning into a pillar of salt?
Ah, yes -- lots of "historical accuracy" in the Bible._8-)
Can you prove the flood never existed then?
God caused the fish to vomit Jonah out. Your biblically illiterate. And how much proof you expect about one small person historically?
It was God's power who turned Lots wife into a pillar of salt, a supernatural act, not magic and random sonny.

People who are active and live useful lives usually have youthful mindsets. Although I am almost 80 years of age, I nevertheless have a "youthful mindset." (Of course, you probably have noticed that already!)
Only the folks who have stopped thinking let their brains atrophy. Liberals, having more native intelligence than conservatives (real studies have shown this), are certain to have more youthful mindsets than the regressive "Let's live back in the 1800's" superannuated persons.
I agree, most people who live active useless lives tend to be liberals on welfare. I've spoken to an Obama support who was 49 years old, despite the fact that she thought pretty much like a 12 or 13 year old LOL.

I get it now! You are Todd Akins and have moved in disgrace to the UK!
By any chance, can you cite any serious studies which show:
1. homosexuality is damaging the American family?
2. homosexuality converts children to homosexuality?
3. homosexuality increases rape?
4. homosexuality increases pedophilia?
Thought not.
Homosexuality is against the american family. 2 men or 2 women are no good as parents. Homosexuality is unnatural, I can prove this. And children are being confused into thinking they are gay, especially with the gay resources.
Homosexuality is a sexual deviant nature, and seeks rape without care or concern, nor sympathy or empathy, just a shallow sexual mindset. Homosexuality also does this to children, who are being raised to be homosexual.

Was that first part supposed to be an insult? If so, you left a few words out.
For example, what emotions are only possible to arise from a bipolar disorder?
I once heard a hormone. All night.
Manic mode. Thats an emotional state. In manic mode I've heard people feel an intense excitement and feel the need to satisfy it, which seems to make some liberals act wild. LOL, your telling me he has hormones? LOL, kids be kids I suppose.

You keep quoting the bible and I'm talking about the US Constitution. Who said I was a Christian? Who said you're beliefs are the only one's that count? Tell that to a Buddist, Wicca, Hindu or someone that doesn't believe god exists and see how far that gets you. There are people that believe in all types of religions in this country and they ALL have one thing in common, the US Constitution.
"I saw Obama on TV say he approves of marriage of different sexes. I am sure if you want to take the time to research it, you can hear it for yourself. That is not a Christian belief."
So the hell what? It's could very easily become protected by the US Supreme Court thus have constitutional protections. You can still have your belief it's wrong but that won't do a thing here in the United States "Of the people, By the People and For the People". If you really had this devout faith you keep touting, you would not be judging anyone in the first place but that's the classic case of being a Hypocrite.
This nonsense about the President being a Muslim, so what if he is? Is there a clause in the US Constitution that prevents a Muslim from holding that office? If we look closely at ALL our Presidents we will find 43 men that could not possibly been Christians either.
Everyone of them have sent people to fight and die in wars (Nearly all of which were for selfish and greedy causes), the first 15 did NOTHING to stop the enslavement of human beings, the first 25 used the power of the army and soldiers of fortune to exact the mass murder and subjection of Native Americans, sent people to their deaths (some of whom were innocent) and since 1973 allowed the termination of unborn children. So are these the so called Christians you hold up as shining examples and dare to say President Obama is not one of them?
As to socialism, I guess the G.I bill was a plot by Socialist's to turn veterans into a bunch of Pinko Commie's? That Socialism nonsense is just another buzz word to get the misinformed up in arms about things they don't understand. The Obama administration stepping in to keep several MILLION people working for GM and it's suppliers, that was socialism too I guess? Ask the people that still have their homes what they think about it and I'll bet you might be in for a good head whipping. Jesus must have been a socialist too when you think about it, feeding the 5,000, living among the poor, castigating the rich. Jesus saves after all.
One thing we do agree on, "It's difficult to even communicate with ignorant people." You are be far one of the most ignorant people I've encountered in some time.
I hardly see rick santorum and paul ryan "defending the constitution". And it isn't already in the constitution for gay marriage anyway.

Actually there is a startlingly large body of research that 2 homosexual parents do not produce children that are any different from heterosexual parents. In fact there is also some research on the incidence rate of homosexualuality in the children of homosexual parents that shows a definite decrease.

Gay marriage is a good thing. I have had a revelation, proposed by the Lorde HIMSELF. It is ok for two dudes to love each other, and two chickadees also. Chicks too. Love should lead to marriage. Especially since these things are leading to kids more and more.
