Why in the world did the father even allow his daughter to be at his house in the first place. It's sounds to me that the dad knew they were dating so calling this man a rapist is uncalled for. I DO NOT excuse any person for dating a child but it doesn't seem to be the father was tryying to keep her from him. I think everyone needs ALL the facts before judgements can be passed. My prayers go to all parties involved.
I certainly don't agree with the taking of life. However the question of who's calling this young man a rapist is not the question. The law calls it "statuatory rape" if they were intimate. Regardless of who had given consent. Thaughts and prayers to all.

A couple of good rule of thumbs to live by:

Don't mess with another man's wife..especially if he owns a gun.

Don't mess with a man's underage daughter...especially if he owns a gun.

If you break those, you a risking your life and in the latter your freedom.

Lets see... you're "bright" enough to have been a CNC machinist since you were 17 years old, yet you have the spelling and writing style of challenged 5th grade student. I understand you have a serious emotional investment in this issue, but your comments will be taken with much greater cressidence if they are presented in a somewhat more professional format rather than as if they were in a study hall note folded up and thrown across the room.
Im sorry for my bad grammer. I never was that great at spelling. Better with numbers. Im just sad and cant think i lost someone really close. I see where you comming from.

My condolences to the young man's family and friends. In addition, the parenting this young girl has received is tragic...she will likely spend the rest of her life trying to straighten out the damage unless she is just too far gone.

Many of the comments here are disturbing...

If this man/father gave "permission" for his minor child to date an adult, he needs his head examined and there is absolutely nothing that would justify this shooting. Just so you know, if a parent gives his minor child permission to "date" an adult, that does not include permission to have sex. I don't know the details of this young couple's relationship but even with parental permission, the young couple (of said ages) can not engage in sexual activities without running the risks of Children's Division taking custody of the child and the Prosecuting Attorney bringing charges against the adult boyfriend. Children's Division can even assist in bringing charges against the parent for failing to provide supervision/protection. Also, parental permission does not supercede the law. Now, the law does allow parents to give their minor child permission to marry an adult and then sexaul activity is not illegal but this young couple was not married.

To the person who said the victim was a herion user...how would you know unless you used with him? or provivided it...

To the person who said that dad was just doing dad's job by killing this young man...what kind of parenting skills include cold blooded murder and giving his child "permission" to date an adult while even providing transportation to enable the relationship? The father even let the young man live under his roof with his child...Please explain, what parenting technique is this?

Again, my condolences to the family and friends of this young man.

A heroin user, huh. My son was one. Everyday I expected to get a call saying he was dead. He'd rip off anybody and everybody to get money for another fix. It's a life of pure hell for everyone involved. More than likely he got the girl hooked. I can see why the father killed him. It's justifiable homicide from the father's side. He saved many people from years of suffering.

get real speechless- you dont even know the facts- what if the 22 year old punk kid pulled out his piece and the father has a ccw permit and was protecting himself- know the facts before you judge. hope you're not on the jury if he goes to trial- its people like you....
NO you get real! I DO know the facts since it happened in my neighborhood and my children and I knew this boy! He did not have a gun. You're the one who shouldn't be judging!!!

Woo No sympathy how about you back off Eric. He might not have been provided all the educational opportunities you have in life but it sounds like the man is doing alright for himself. Perhaps you need a little more education in empathy. When your vehicle has trouble hopefully your car mechanic treats your car with a little more respect than you have treated this man.

Jefferson County, the new North St. Louis! There's never a day that passes where some violent action or crime isn't being reported. What's next animal sacrifice? Oh yeah, they did that in JeffCo already.

i wonder how many of you people are people i know. I have known some of these people and havent associated with them for a long time. you would think after half of them o.d. or get murdered some of you would start to relize this is not a life to live. sooner or later those who care about you no longer do and those you think care about you are freakin dead or locked up. get it together people ther is more to life than this
