All this shit started with the Clintons they developed programs for quick easy loans and damn handouts.
McCain has said he doesn't care about people who make less than $150,000 a year. What's important is maintaining the wealthy. Look at his wife who wears $300,000 outfits to campaign events.

In your first post you claim that Bush has warned us "17 times at last count", now it's once in 2001 and once annually since? using basic math I come up with an alleged eight warnings by Bush that you claim. So, is it 17 or 8? or did you just make it up like all good conservatives do? Any facts to support your claims? Didn't think so.
As far as this mess being something "that the Democrats created themselves", another falsehood. Would you please remind me who controlled the House and Senate when McCain's economy adviser Phil Gramm pushed this bill through on the verge of Christmas break?? Try as hard as you like to misrepresent the facts, but you can't change history. Remember? They wrote this shit down, you can't get rid of it like an e-mail. This legislation is born 100% Republican!
You didn't even bother to read the whole post, did you. He brought it up every year since he has been in office....several times for a total of 17 times. As a matter of fact the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mess points directly to the Democrats. They would love to find a Republican involved in it, but they can't. That's the whole point. If they had even found ONE Republican involved, there would be hearings going on now.

Bill Clinton admitted that he was partially responsible for this mess today. He is the one who signed legislation allowing those who couldn't afford these mortgages to take them out. Quite frankly, I think we need more than just a bailout. I think that the ones who are responsible for the mess should be arrested, indicted, and sent to prison. Of course that would include about 3/4 of the Democrats in Congress right now.

The poor, underprivelaged and lower middle class did not cause this crisis. This was caused by the greedy Wall street investment firms that took these "high risk" loans and packaged them together as leveraged securities and sold them off to investors. Then when 20% of them went into forclosure, they started trading them amoungst each other, all the while inflating the price. They have pushed them to the point where there is no equity, just dept. In simple terms, on the street we would call this "check Kiting." It's the same premis that the currant (Republican) administration has with the budget and deficet.

The overwhelming majority of investment bankers that took part in this scheme are REPUBLICANS.

No, the majority of the bankers were OBAMA contributors. Of course, you're a typically blind Democrat. You fail to notice that everything was going well....until the Democrats took control of Congress again. Then all this started happening. Gas prices doubled, unemployment went up (right after minimum wage went up) and the economy started to tank. The only thing the Democrats want to do to control this is Tax, tax, and tax again. Obama wants to tax the windfall profits on oil companies. The man is so ignorant that he doesn't realize that they'll only apply that tax to the price of gas, therefore causing gas prices to go even higher. He wants to tax businesses, which will only cause them to raise their prices and start laying people off. This shows just how ignorant Democrats are. The proof is in the pudding. None of this started until the DEMOCRATS were in power. We need a change alright. We need to vote Harry Reid, Joe Biden, Barak Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Hillary Clinton, and Barney Frank, and all the other Democrats right out of office.

Freddie Mac and the like operated fine since its inception in 1938. There has been some adjustments to it on the way, but nonetheless it ran fine until around 2002. Does anyone recall George Bush unleashing "the ownership society" where he encouraged banks to issue subprime mortgages, no matter they can afford it or not. In fact, he gave $4000 incentives to banks for loans at subprime levels. 60% of the people who received subprime mortgages, actually qualified for prime level mortgages, but they work the system to get that $4000 incentive. This allowed them to bundle the subprime loans, with less risky ones and pawn them off as investments to unwitting investors.

Who had control of the House and Senate in 2002? Republicans. Who had vetoproof control of the House and Senate when the Gramm Bliley Leach act was passed? Republicans. Who was asleep at the wheel while banks were loaning money to anyone with a pulse, no questions asked? Republicans!! Are you seeing a trend here my poor confused friend?

Of course Obama wants to tax oil companies on their excessive gains. It's been done successfully in several other industrialized nations . If they don't want to use the money we gave them to invest in alternative resources, screw them. That's why Obama wants a million electric cars on the roads in 10 years. Do you honestly think oil will last forever? Are you seriously that gullible? If oil companies and other companies "take it out on the American people" the American people will take it out on them by refusing to buy their products. If there is no more demand (by the largest consumers in the world!) For their supply what happens? Somebody else does it cheaper and faster and better, screw them!

It's Americans like you that cause me to lose faith in this country sometimes.

I think George W. put this country so far in the toilet that all Obama could do was flush. Cheney and Palin would have shoved us further down the sewer pipe. It wasnt a matter who was the best..just who wasnt the worst.

I never understood how sending millions of jobs overseas helped our economy. It just put millions out of work. And now the illegals on top of that! Its a wonder any hard working american still has a job.

Let's see:
--$13 trillion dollar debt,
-- Obama ignoring the gulf oil spill,
-- 13 million illegal mexicans but we do not
secure the border,
-- Arizona being sued by the Federal Government,
-- 2 wars,
-- 41% or all Americans using some type of public
assistance,
-- Nationalized Healthcare that no one wanted
-- Bailout of Fannie, Freddie, AIG, GM, Citi
-- California - BANKRUPT, New York BANKRUPT, New
Jersey BANKRUPT, countless states and counties
BANKRUPT.
-- Foreclosures going through the roof
-- 17.00% real unemployment

Yeah we are in great shape. America is a joke....
