I just want to say that hypocrites like alois bell are the reason Christians get such a bad rap. In case you haven't heard, Bell is the preacher at the St. Louis-based Truth in the World Deliverance Ministries, and she left NO tip for her waiter, left a very inconsiderate comment on the receipt, and then demanded that just about everyone at that restaurant be fired. Everyone wasn't fired, but one waitress was. THEN she had the NERVE to say she meant the whole thing as a joke. Is that God's way? Not where I go to Church. Ms. Bell, what would you do if, on your payday, all you got was a note that said "Why should we give you a salary when we'd rather support God's will?" You are a no-good piece of trash. If you don't want to leave a tip for those who serve your food to you, go to McDonald's or the local 7-11 and heat one of those refrigerated sandwiches up in their microwave Or, better yet, do us all a favor and stay home and feed yourself! It's bad enough that you don't leave a tip, but to demand everyone be fired shows your true colors. Do you work? Because, in my opinion, your congregation is getting cheated if they are your sole support. Get a real job,'cause you are NOT cutting it as a religious ANYTHING!

too bad you can't be fired Alois - a preacher sure and a hypocrite to boot. What a jerk, it wasn't even the server's fault that the tip was on the bill and noiw she doesn't have a way to support herself. I'll bet God just loves that!

PS Maybe you should give God a little more than your money, after all the money is only earthly. It is the spiritual that counts.

First of all, WHY in the world would you put "pastor" on a receipt. Is that something that you think makes you more important in God's eyes? You're about as low as a human can get. Secondly, 10% is what we're commanded to give. If you love God, you should be giving him more. Thirdly, how can you call yourself a preacher? Women weren't ordained to be preachers. I have nothing against women - they have their importance in church. But, one of the rules for ordination is to be the husband of 1 wife (meaning not to have a living spouse through divorce). But, how can you be a husband?

Alois you showed poor judgement. We all make mistakes. It is not very representative ofGod to treat that waitress in that way. Do you also leave pamphlets on how to be saved instead of a tip? This gives our religion a bad name. You need to make this right. I hope you learned something. Your behavior was inappropriate. That poor girl served you and your Freinds. Wait staff work hard. They rely on tips. Do you think this will bring her to God? I suggest you listen to a few of joyce Myers sermons. She will teach you to act appropriately. Do the right thing and you need to apologies to all and let them know it wasn't proper behavior. Barb

Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Luke 6:31

Looks like the ol Pastor doesn't know the bible to well. She looks more like a hypocrite that is only in service to make money and to have her way than to serve God. Just remember Alois, God knows your sins and no matter how much you convince the people around you that it was a mistake, God knows your heart. Remember, he can send you back to the streets.

Ms Bell...you are a discredit to your congregation, your mission, your family and Christendom at large. I hope that you and your congregation will take up a collection to pay that poor waitresses rent, utilities, car payment, gas bill, etc...it would be the right and the Christian thing to do.

Congrats. You're famous!

Infamous? Right, yeah, infamous?

Seriously. Kudos on being a short sighted individual.Though,I have to wonder, what does your congregation have to say on the matter?

Angry? Ashamed? Disappointed? Do they stand behind you? I surely hope not... they would then reveal themselves to be the whiny baby you portrayed yourself as in this instance. Damn...I just can't congratulate you enough.

Mrs (Ms? Miss? I won't say pastor, because I don't feel you deserve that title. Also; all religious ideologies sicken me, so...there is that) Bell... please, do us all a favor; and get off your high horse.

Hope, Faith, Charity and Love for all our fellow men and women. Jesus taught so many but you dear can only proselytize instead of sowing what you reaped. You had your meal and when the bill came due you used a platitude to excuse your true intentions. If you cannot afford to be charitable to those who serve you how can you expect those you serve to be charitable to you. As ye sow, so shall ye reap. Sow well lest ye reap the whirlwind.

It's cons like you that hide behind the cloth that are the reason so many are leaving the church and organized religion.

It's cheap trash like you that give REAL Christians a bad name! If you don't want to leave a tip then you have NO business dining in a full service restaurant!!! I recommend you choose a fast food place where you go to a counter and place your order next time!

Yep. She apologized. I don't think she's sorry for what she did, she's sorry she got busted for it. She's sorry for all the negative attention. She sorry that she and her Church are being painted in a bad light. She's sorry that her Church sees her true colors and lack of Christianity.
And, by the way, if her Church agrees with what she did, they are more like Westboro Baptist Church, and we'll probably be seeing them boycotting our military funerals next.... smh...

$28 for 1 person's meal. Does no one think the good pastor is a glutton, wasting money on 1 meal that could feed hungry children in the church. After the $6 tip was added, Alois had spent $34 + the alleged cash tip of $6, sums up to be $40 on 1 meal for 1 person. SHAME

This wasn't about religion, it wasn't about service, it was about being a gyp. This was nothing more than a cheapskate looking to save a buck, using god was blasphemy. Have they been doing this for years?

Had she read her bill before she paid it with her credit card, she would have seen that the tip had been included. But since she didn't notice it until after her card so she was charged for it. When you go to Walmart and get your credit card receipt back, you can't mark out the total and fill in what you think you should have to pay. When she did notice it was on the CREDIT CARD receipt, she could have opted NOT to put cash on the table like she claimed she did.
