Yes Sci-Guy, I did read it. Not too much about STL, but a lot of similarites with Granite City.

I also read it a few weeks ago. Very enjoyable, especially for anyone familiar with the STL area.

I read another book by the same author called "Sudden Comfort". It is set in Southeast Missouri and was also an enjoyable book.
