'Simmons said troopers cut them down and plan to destroy them by a pit burn in a safe, isolated location.'

You can bet none of the law enforcement agents will be wearing hazmat suits during the burning process.

Well, I would think they should concentrate more on the darn pillheads!! That's where the problem really is!!! What does weed hurt? Oh yea... it makes ya happier and easier to cope with bullshit.. such a bad thing. Pills make ya steal, and turn on your family, and it ruins your life and others! Go state boys. You should deal with the real problem

Marijuana is not a narcotic! I have never heard of anyone going to rehab for marijuana. Why don't they get the real druggies?

Agree.. Blow millions of dollars, put people in jail, stomp around in the woods, using choppers to find this "relatively" harmless material, when all they have to do is walk around on the streets and check the Doctor's office...And DOCTORS :)

I guess it looks "good" on the news...Busting the pills, meth labs, etc. looks a lot better, they should do more of the latter and less of flying around and looking for weed:)

Or they should concentrate on one of the REAL PROBLEMS. The alcohol that is sold legally and consumed by children. There are more "functioning alcoholics" in the world today than pillheads, junkies or pot smokers. Ever worked beside a drinker and have to catch up his slack, or drove down the road behind a beer buzzed pos that just left a bar, or saw how many fatal accidents there are near a liquor store or bar? Ever read the statistics on how many deaths are caused by drunk drivers? Ever seen all the rehab centers ful of recovering alcoholics? Here's the thing, alcohol is legal and so easy to get we just close our eyes, sweep it under a rug and make a huge joke out it. Get the stinkin drunks first and stop letting them go for a second DUI offense. Stop slapping their swrist and letting them go out to hunt their next victim of a drunk driver. Pillheads and drunks rank right at the top of my shyt list. I say leave the pot heads alone, and get the REAL problems, the pill heads and drunks. Nothing stinks worse than a hungover drunk at work the next day. A drunk doctor operated on my left leg, and it was supposed to be my right leg. Drunk pilots, drunk teachers, because it is legal.

I agree that we would probably be better off to legalize pot and concentrate all the time and money used to fight it on the real drug abuse. Alcohol used responsibly isn't harmful, And I doubt pot is much different, but there is no responsible way to use meth and the other drugs out there.

Well weed is only illegal because the IRS refuses to release its tax license number. You can legally grow poppies but you can't manufacture opium or heroin from the flowers. Besides they can't go after the pill dealers the Doctors would lose business from Medicaid that keeps them running.

uSED RESPONSIBLY, SO YOU ARE SAYING ALCOHOL IS NOT ADDICTIVE. iF YOU ARE THAT STUPID TO THINK ALCOHOL IS NOT ADDICTIVE AND PEOPLE AREN'T BORN WITH AN ADDICTIVE GENE OR ADDICTION PROBLEM, THEN YOU ARE TOO STUPID. When a person drives under the influence of alcohol there is no way to say use it responsibly. Nothing wrong with a beer every now and then or a glass of wine or even a shot of liquor. But the percentage of people who can use alcohol responsibly are about the same as those who can use cocaine responsibly. No drug, used responsibly is harmful but MOST DRUGS ARE ADDICTIVE, and most people have addictive personalities. DUUUUHHHHH! Do you realize that 90 percent of first time drunk drivers go on to get a second or third DUI and a high percent of them cause injury before they are punished? You must be a drinker!!!! But I do agree there is no way to regulate the drugs like Meth. There are so many alcoholics in the world today, we have just been taught to turn our heads to the alcohol. Alcohol IS A DRUG FYI. A very addictive one.

I have to disagree being labeled an alcoholic from a young age never got a dui lost a job or lost a job do to my partying. even stopped drinking for about 12 yrs beer is what I love cant take it or put it down yes I consider I fall in the alcoholic definition because I drink 12 or more in a month or 12 in a night. Labels set people up to fail.
As for weed I love it a couple puffs a few beers and I am good the rest of the night. Cannabis is not additive but people think its a gate way that is false. If they want to get high and weed is not around they are more likely to try something new that is additive.

Yup, I can tell alcohol has not affected you in the least, you seem a real successful guy. Any arrests for fighting or public drunk? Even stopped drinking for about 12 beers, lol, bout the size of it. I can't take it or put it down, yep, a slip there but the truth, you can't take it if you put it down. You, sir, are not an alcoholic, you are just a plain ole drunk bum. You are ADDICTED to alcohol. You fall alright, quite often. When you get in your 50s and have no liver, we will see. It seems the alcohol has destroyed a lot of your brain cells already, you might want to keep a few, you might need them later in life. You have never lost a job because I doubt you have kept the same job for over a few years.

You have never got a DUI because you stay at home, don't work so you don't need to drive. You stay drunk at home, don't work and party every day. A norm for you. If you do ever get a job, it don't last long. You get drunk and get in a fight and quit. You. sir are what is referred to as a drunk, not an alcoholic. You have mis labled yourself. An alcoholic admits he has a problem, a drunk thinks he is just fine.

Found out later that the good doctor stayed plastered out of his mind on booze. He stayed drunk half the time. Yes, his mind was altered. Them brain cells don't come back after age 35.

Sometime in 74 or 75 I think Atlanta set fire to a large area of "weeds" and the wind shifted causing a lot of people with respiratory issues distress. I vote put it in the ovens at John Amos power plan or somewhere like that. Mix it with something that the burn energy does something like generate power....

it is so stupid to make such a big deal over weed. it has been proven that pot can help with drug withdrawal, cancer patients and people that suffer from seizures. pot should be legal, look at the money wasted the other day when the cops were flying around here making their big "difference" on the war on drugs. choose something to fight against that is worth all the $ that is being wasted. people who smoke weed, don't go around committing all these crimes. SMOKE PEOPLE SMOKE!!!!! as a matter of fact I'm going to burn one now and every hit is dedicated to the dicks in uniform. and yes I WILL INHALE!!!
