I challenge you to prove that. Better be careful what you accuse people of. That's child molestation you're talking about. Stupid, you say?Don't they have college degrees? What's wrong, didn't little Muffin get the grade you thought she deserved? Or did Junior not get the spot on the football team he wanted? No wonder our kids don't learn. They've been taught that teachers are stupid and lazy and that school is useless. Who taught them this attitude? Their parents. What a shame!

Um it's not "accusing" it's stating facts. Middle school teacher arrested for being sexually inappropriate with a 7th grade student on Facebook. High school teacher arrested for HAVING SEX with his student multiple times. And no I'm not a mother I was a previous student there and I was there when the high school teacher was arrested.

<quoted text>Who should we blame, the parents, the children, the board of education, or just maybe THE TEACHERS????? Common sense rules.
The proper place to hang this blame is the federal government that runs it all. Contrary to popular belief, these results are EXACTLY what the powers that be want to see. The "dumbing down" of America was required so that we could be dominated from the shadows, very, very quietly.

It worked.

But all that is just another conspiracy theory. Isn't it? lol...

Possum, Spoken like a true WV High School graduate!!!!! It's not my fault you had to repeat each grade 2 times and did not graduate until you were 38 years old. I could tell from your post that you were related to the crazy Hatfields in south WV, probably Williamson or Pikeville. That region has been plagued by violence and ignorance for many many years. Hmmm, seems little has changed!!!!! Well, one thing I can say is, Moundsville region is not any better. It's getting late, better get your shotgun ready and get some possum tonight for your dinner. Meemaw says she is mighty hungry. She'll let you sleep with her again tonight Silas, if you catch a big one!!!!!Nobody loves ya like your mother Silas. TaTa for now Lady of Quality

A teacher's job is to teach my child.
A parents job is to work and pay the bills.

When my kid's teacher starts helping me pay the bills, I'll start teaching my kid math.

That's Southern West Virginia, Darlin. Not south WV. And Pikeville is in Kentucky. It's the county seat of Pike County, Kentucky. I take it you watched a plethora of Beverly Hillbillies reruns. Be that as it may, I still have a few untouched places on my Southern West Virginia ass that you can kiss.

Possum, thanks for the geography lesson on Wrong Turn country, howevger I already know where Pikeville is and I also know that many Hatfields live there too. No, I do not care for the Beverly Hillbillies and have never watched an entire episode, however I am quite sure you can recite them all by heart. Now as for your posterior, no Possum I would not tread where so many men have gone before. Why,possum, if you had as many a stickin out of you as you've had shoved in, you'd look like a Porcupine!!! You are heartless apparently or uneducated yourself to keep up the remarks about the short bus! Any child with a disability has more character in their little finger then someone that finds entertainment making cruel remarks. Grow up! Or go spend some of that money you brag about on a personality and stop making fun of others. If people had to walk one day in a handicapped childs shoes then they would think about what they say before flapping their lips! Just saying!!

I agree with most of what you said but it seems you were disparaging sports. It may be true that parents go to sports events more than to PTA meetings but I don't think that is the answer here. I don't remember my parents ever going to a PTA meeting (I went all the time), and although I was in the band in highschool they never went to a game or a concert (I never missed a game or anything event my son was involved in). I don't think they ever even went to see my highschool play when I had the LEAD part. But they sure did lay down the law at home about homework, going to school, and not getting into trouble at school. Hmmm, wonder if that is why my son graduated higher in his class than I did and why he is more succesful than I ever was.
I will reiterate that I think sports was a HUGE part of my son's success in school and in his later professional life. I have heard parents say "I'm not going to run all over the place taking him/her to games or this or that". Big, big mistake!
I agree. That big mistake can also apply to band practice, cheerleading clinics, tutoring, and many of the extra-curricular activities that enrichen and round out a young person's life and character.
Bravo to you for stating this so well!

My heart is with you about this. And, not only do those types of heartless, cutting remarks and attitude come when they are least needed, not that they are ever needed, but the lack of care and concern for sepcial needs students comes from all levels. Now, the careless attitudes are creeping into the special education departments at higher levels. Why did a WV county, which will remain nameless but is located between Tazewell and Giles counties VA, fill a special ed position with someone who does not have experience in special ed leadership when there were many more better-qualified people within the department? It is the same one i'm told, who was unsuccessful in running the largest HS in that county and had to be rescued. Someone tells us that already this year that director has called in some highly-skilled retired employees with lots of experience to help him camoflage his apparent lack of aptitude for the job. Parents i have talked to say that director is denying their kids some services that might help them in the classes where the kids need help the most. I think this issue is awful for the special ed kids and might even be illegal but i think these sorts of issues and more won't go away and will rise to the surface as a little more time goes by. I just think the special ed kids of my friends are being treated badly by people that should be caring for them more.Isn't that why we pay tax dollars? What ever happened to that no child left behind push? Looks like some of the kids are going to get left behind if something doesn't change on th higher up levels.

Possum, it's not my fault that a large percentage of hillbillies ride the "short bus". That is the result of too much inbreedng and drug abuse in Wrong Turn country and producing these creatures. They are a drain on the school system. Many could be the poster children for "birth control". And if I had to walk one day in a handicapped persons shoes my feet would hurt possum. I am nort into pain. Now back to your filthy little trailer and fix a possum, groundhog, deer or whatever. TaTa for now Lady of Quality ps Know what they call children who ride the short bus? WV hillbillies!!!!!
