They are not proposing a rules change, they are proposing a procedural change.

Some states already split their electoral votes.

It is a discussion regarding a procedural change, not a rules change, or don't you get the difference?

That's because it is a procedural change, just because the author uses the word "rules" does not make it so.

So when assault weapons are banned, that will be a procedural change? Gotcha.

If it is in the best interests of the Senate, yes, since they are allowed to define a change in the rules as a change in procedure.

Why do you suppose Republicans want a "procedural" change? Are you being deliberately naive?

How about gettingb rid of the electoral college altogether? Most Americans favor its elimination.
Just think. Popular vote, no George W. Bush.

Negative on being naive, and of course they want "procedural" change, to better their odds of winning, just like the Senate and Obamacare a few years ago.

LOL! Is this a surprise to anyone? Republicans can't win on a level playing field where all Americans are allowed to vote, so naturally they'll keep trying to "reform" their way into office - reform black people out of the booth, "reform" Chicanos out of the booth, "reform" students out of the booth, etc. etc.

Hell, the only reason they got as close as they did LAST election was through gerrymandering! Watch out for Republican chicanery!

President Barack Obama, former editor of the Harvard Law Review, is no longer a “lawyer”. He surrendered his license back in 2008 in order to escape charges he lied on his bar application. A “Voluntary Surrender” is not something where you decide “Gee, a license is not really something I need anymore, is it?” and forget to renew your license. No, a “Voluntary Surrender” is something you do when you’ve been accused of something, and you ‘voluntarily surrender” your license five seconds before the state suspends you.
.
Trust a democrat? Get thrown onto the train tracks like that poor lady in Philadelphia yesterday? She should have been carrying a gun if you ask me. Getting attacked by ACORN is no fun. No SIRREE.
