Unfortunately Jay is not here to tell us what happened. Looking at his log book will not bring him back to his family. Saying he fell asleep is a speculation based on nothing at this point. Don't jump to conclusions when you weren't sitting in the seat next to him. We'll miss you Jay. My prayers to his family.

He was more than likely run off the road by some Idiot in a car that was not paying attention to what they were doing. Of course they kept going afterward. I see this all the time after 31 years of driving a truck. Or maybie the roads were slick.

You did not know my dad... ok? first off let me shed some light on this subject. i know it is about a month old now and im going to tell you some things about my father. While driving he did not drink, smoke, OR SLEEP! from my knowledge, he called my grandma (his mom) that morning and told her how happy he was to have this new job... yes that was his first, and last, load with Te Slaa trucking... now i know your thinking "oh talking on the phone huh?" well he had a wireless bluetooth headset ok? so dont judge before you know. show some consideration... this is coming from me, my brother, my sister, and the rest of his family and friends.

I'm sorry for your loss and I am sorry you have to read such negative comments, I drove past after the accident had occurred and all I could do was cry and I did not even know Jay (your father). Again I am sorry and wish people would have some compassion. May God bless and be with you and your family
