Yes, let's turn the conversation to social issues when the American ECONOMY IS FAILED and Obama's FOREIGN POLICY IS FAILED.

Most be those BIASED and SLANTED (BS) PAID POLITICAL HACKS AND 'MEDIA' SPECIALISTS turning out these articles.

There were 5 MONTHS of ATTACKS in LIBYA prior to the 9/11 ANNIVERSARY.

The US STATE DEPARTMENT issued a travel warning to anyone thinking of traveling to Libya!

OBAMA hired a 'british' Security firm (American entity based in britain) to 'protect' the ambassador and staff with the CAVEAT that NO LIVE AMMUNITION (let's be friends)be used.

Plus Obama's RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (ROE) in Afghanistan with 'joint patrols' has been TERMINATED because are 'partners in Afghanistan' have used their AMERICAN GIVEN WEAPONS ON OUR OWN SOLDIERS!

6 harrier jets destroyed along with a hangar in Afghanistan.

Get those flowers OUT of the barrels of US GUNS and let OUR SOLDIERS protect themselves.

FAILED FOREIGN POLICY = OBAMA
FAILED ECONOMY POLICY = OBAMA
LYING TO THE PEOPLE OF AMERICA = OBAMA
DEPENDENCE ON FOREIGN ENERGY = OBAMA
HIGH COST OF FOOD = OBAMA
HIGH COST OF GAS = OBAMA
HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT = OBAMA

Even one win will be devastating to the anti-gays.

It will be interesting to see what excuses they come up with, especially if we win in Maryland.

"This year, President Obama is in good standing in the polls and Democrats are holding surprisingly strong in their bid to keep control of the Senate. "

there are so many false assumptions in this article I would think you wrote it!

"Question 1, as it is known, comes three years after Maine voters "vetoed" a same-sex marriage law passed by the legislature and signed by the governor. The veto was surprising because Maine tends to be a liberal state with no deep ties of religion. Demographic models based on the religiosity of each state suggested that the same-sex marriage amendment should have passed in 2009 by 6 to 10 points. Polling disagreed, and it was the polling that was correct."
after conceding that the models used were wrong, they rely on polls which have been proven far off base already...

and even though Maine is NOT RELIGIOUS and vetoed the bill, no one will account for that...

the author nonetheless continues to uses religion as an indicator...
"Minnesota is a moderately religious state, but its religious population is largely conservative "

and if you lose even though the polls say otherwise, you will still listen to your biased polls anyway and continue to cheer lead that you didn't lose that bad, right?

Don't worry the courts over turn any anti-Gay marriage laws and protect the pro ones.

Then you have gutless pols who are afraid to let the people vote on the issue such as Ct. and Ma..

They also upheld the Voter Rights Act, women voting, etc. Figures they'd extend equal rights to same sex couples...

Glad to hear it. We need to stop using fossil fuels and use only renewable resources. After all, I expect to have grandkids, someday.

I've always cautioned against using any polling data to predict a specific win/loss BECAUSE of the inaccuracy of previous polls on this issue. Polling is only useful in showing trends over time, and every poll ever done by any organization has shown a steady increase in support for marriage equality over the past 20 years.

That said, polling in Maine, Maryland, and Washington all show us outside the normal "error" rate; but only the actual vote matters. Minnesota polling shows a vitual tie, which means the anti-gays will most likely win there by a 5 point margin.

I'll look at the actual results of the vote. If we win, we win. If we lose, we lose. The only state where we can make a direct comparison of progress will be in Maine, since they previously voted on this issue in '09. Marriage equality lost in '09 by a 53-47 margin; anything better than 47% voting in favor shows progress.

It is your felllow anti-gays who keep claiming a majority will NEVER vote for marriage equality. It will be interesting to see what excuses they come up with when "never" becomes "once", or "twice", or even "thrice"......
