Don't forget the ongoing GMO farce.Leftwing science – Part 1 http://www.jpattitude.com/110519.php
Hearing liberals talk about science is flat-out funny – almost as funny as watching them stumble over numbers. In both arenas, their assertions and beliefs are often ludicrous (remember when Obama thought ten thousand people had died in a Kansas tornado?), but there’s an important difference: liberal miscomprehension of numbers involves intellectual deficiency, whereas their silliness in science stems from moral deficiency.
The left cynically and ruthlessly misuses science as a vehicle for political propaganda.
There is a fundamental reason why leftwing political ideology leads to bad science. Collectivism is, by definition, anti-God,
and without the absolute truth which God represents, the solid foundation necessary for scientific advancement is missing. No need to take that statement on faith (pardon the pun)– there are studies with empirical evidence. Baylor University released a study in 2008 showing that traditional Christian religion greatly decreases belief in pseudo-scientific nonsense like palm reading, astrology, and paranormal phenomena.
The magazine Skeptical Inquirer published a similar study in 1980, showing that irreligious college students were far more likely to believe in pseudo-scientific crap. Paraphrasing Jeff Foxworthy, if you have ever asked a ghost what its sign is, you might be a liberal.
Look at areas where political differences cause the most friction – Darwinism, global warming, the beginning of life in the womb, education, DDT – and you will see the war between atheists and believers raging. No scientific theory is more important to the left than Darwinism, because evolution overtly replaces God with random chance and demotes Man to one among millions of co-equal species. Liberals become enraged if parents merely ask that contrary evidence be presented to children in public schools.
Over and over again, leftwing science is proven wrong by time and facts. After decades of insisting that embryos were not alive and could feel no pain, ultrasound pictures showed the truth: their hearts start beating in the first two or three weeks and by their reaction to stimuli we can see they feel something.

that's not so much a Left Wing Science as a Right!
Remember the Bush White House served GMO corn tacos etc. several years ago while scoffing at the notion (now being Proven) that GMOs are a bad idea?
Turns out his fellow Skull & Bones member John Kerry also took big$$ from evil Monsanto, no big surprise of course
Smart people don't jump on a bandwagon of belief just cuz those already on it are mostly of the same political bent. I agree with the anti-nukers and don't shivagit they are mostly lefties, same with GMO Frankenfood, just as I've joined the anti-nuke crowd I've attended a couple anti-GMO protests.
Ideally, science shouldn't have a bent. Messing with Nature is never a good idea and we're all going to suffer More cancers etc. just as the famous recent French study shows rats get big tumors etc after being fed GMOs
a lot of lefties are gun owners-

Gingrey: Akin 'partly right' on rape comment
by DONNA CASSATA
"WASHINGTON (AP)— Republican Rep. Phil Gingrey, an OB-GYN since 1975, said former Rep. Todd Akin was "partly right" when he said women's bodies can avoid pregnancy in cases of "legitimate rape."" ...
..."Gingrey spoke to constituents at a Thursday breakfast meeting and commented on both Akin and Richard Mourdock, two Republican Senate candidates tripped up by their clumsy comments last year about rape and abortion, according to the Marietta Daily Journal in Georgia. Republicans disavowed Akin after his statement, and Mourdock was widely criticized when he said pregnancy resulting from rape is "something God intended."
"Part of the reason the Dems still control the Senate is because of comments made in Missouri by Todd Akin and Indiana by Mourdock were considered a little bit over the top," Gingrey said, according to the newspaper. "Mourdock basically said 'Look, if there is conception in the aftermath of a rape, that's still a child, and it's a child of God, essentially.' Now, in Indiana, that cost him the election.
"And in Missouri, Todd Akin . was asked by a local news source about rape and he said,'Look, in a legitimate rape situation'— and what he meant by legitimate rape was just, look, someone can say I was raped: a scared-to-death 15-year-old that becomes impregnated by her boyfriend and then has to tell her parents — that's pretty tough — and might on some occasion say,'Hey, I was raped.' That's what he meant when he said legitimate rape versus non-legitimate rape.
"I don't find anything so horrible about that," Gingrey said. "But then he went on and said that in a situation of rape, of a legitimate rape, a woman's body has a way of shutting down so the pregnancy would not occur. He's partly right on that."
He made the comments to the Smyrna Area Council of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, according to the newspaper.
Gingrey added that he has been an OB-GYN since 1975 and understands pregnancies.
"And I've delivered lots of babies, and I know about these things. It is true. We tell infertile couples all the time that are having trouble conceiving because of the woman not ovulating,'Just relax. Drink a glass of wine. And don't be so tense and uptight, because all that adrenaline can cause you not to ovulate.' So he was partially right, wasn't he?" Gingrey said. "But the fact that a woman may have already ovulated 12 hours before she is raped, you're not going to prevent a pregnancy there by a woman's body shutting anything down, because the horse has already left the barn, so to speak. And yet the media took that and tore it apart," the congressman said.
Gingrey is co-chairman of the GOP Doctors Caucus, which was formed in March 2009 to challenge President Barack Obama's health care overhaul. He also is a member of the Health subcommittee of the Energy and Commerce panel." ...
..."Gingrey's initial comments drew widespread criticism.
"Just when I think Republicans can't possibly be any more wrong when it comes to women, they find a new low. In one fell swoop, Republican Congressman Phil Gingrey said women regularly lie about being raped, that they're able to prevent a pregnancy simply by 'being tense and uptight,' and that Todd Akin had a point," said Stephanie Schriock, President of EMILY's List.
Jesse Ferguson of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee said it was "alarming and telling" that the head of the GOP Doctors Caucus shared Akin's views."

So now you are saying women never lie about being raped?
#93 Jan 12, 2013
Nope, you are just failing at basic reading comprehension, again.
#94 Jan 12, 2013
I think you need to reread what the man said if you think he said that women all lie about being raped.

It's straw man on top of straw man. Pretty soon you morons will have a pyramid.
