"Vermont's low rates of home foreclosure, unemployment and bankruptcies." Been around the state much? We are also on the top 10 list for the most hungriest state in the nation.
Thank god this is finally over and he is out the door. He knew if he ran he would of lost due to Vermonters are fed up.
Vt is known for its environmental upkeep and cleanliness, and you did nothing to protect it. Do not say your a Vermonter because you have no pride or took none in the 8 years you were in office. We take pride in those issues, you chose to take none.

In all my years you were the worst Governor on the books.

You better come up with a site for this as Vermont is well below the national average for poverty. If we are hungry it is because our economy sucks as the democrats have fought business enhancements for a couple of decades. They fought Douglas in almost everything he did and as a result Shumlin is going to have a real struggle on his hands to keep Vermont out of Bankruptcy.

Tell me where Douglas failed on any environmental issues? Does anyone have any specifics that Vermont is worse off environmentally? What exactly did Douglas do or not do to deserve the comments made by the politicians? Near as I can tell Vermont is about the cleanest state in the country even if it is at the expense of the economy.

What is the Lefties idea of things Pristine Poverty? It looks great but you can't eat it and put it in your gas tank.

It is happening. Windham county is losing residents. Retired people who can are either moving to NH or Florida to avoid paying income taxes on pensions and IRA and 401k distributions.

Vermont's high taxes and low paying jobs are going to change Vermont in the next decade.

Douglas also proposed a 2011 budget that would have had a $67million dollar shortfall. The dems/progressives weren't happy w/that so they vetoed it. guess what - now ol shummy/shap & the boys are stuck w/a 150million dollar shortfall.

guess that doesn't matter as long as we focus on gay marriage/green issues.

my house can't sell fast enough to get me out of this liberal typhoon. Vermont = laughing stock of the country.

Good luck selling your house. The way things are and are going; it will probably take a while. Homes in my area have been on the market 2-3 years. The ones that have sold are foreclosures and/or auctioned off.

Except new houses in Vernon. Anywhere else?

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Sagittarius

It's important to be discriminating about what you say and believe today. That's because communications are rather strange, with people saying or doing odd things and plenty of scope for crossed wires. Be very careful if you're attending to important details because for some reason your brain may switch off at the vital moment, leaving you prone to making mistakes or losing track of what you're doing. Try to double-check anything important tomorrow when your brain is back in gear.
