Conservatives love to say it to liberals, but now it's time for a liberal to say it to conservatives--if you don't like it here, then move.

You did to good a job of attracting the earth loving, children of the hippie generation. It was very popular to move to New England when I was young and thought I could change the world.I came west instead and grew up.

When you liberals get enough guts to try and go after Vermonter's guns, You'll see just how "Red" this state really is. The Liberals are ruining this state and the country. Seems that Vermonter's are just a little behind the times but we'll come around.

Well, that's what the federal system is all about, 50 different laboratories to try out different theories. It's a democracy after all, and the native Vermonters let this state try out the socialist experiment. We'll see how it goes, especially when the $150 million dollar deficit for 2011 comes due. What these people don't get is that the other 49 states moved in the right direction, the Great Shellacking threw out a whole slew of Statists, and the new Congress isn't going to be so thrilled about bailing out Vermont (or California, for that matter). So it's going to be fun to watch the experiment take it's unavoidable course. Sort of like dropping a watermelon off an overpass on Interstate 91. Bets on the outcome?

And Rigs, don't worry, you've got one thing right, many of the most productive people, you know those 'rich' folk who create jobs and pay taxes, are indeed voting with their feet. Many moving off to Red States like North Carolina and Texas, taking their kids with them in many cases.

It's going to be very interesting to watch the Twin States diverge even further, Vermont losing population, raising taxes and becoming a big eco park for trustifarians, state employees and wealthy out-of-state home owners, while New Hampshire creates a vibrant, growing economy with a future for its children.

Seems "rob" and "rigs" go to prove that when it comes to hate speech, nobody does it with more bile and thoughtlessness than a parasitical liberal. Flatlander is as Flatlander does, and they do Flatlander well.

Since the leading employers in this state are government, state and federal, union "educators", and closed shop "workers", it is no surprise the state has a festering scab of blue. Underneath it all though, and beyond the manufactured "cultural" centers the citidiots call home, the real Vermont is still here, if just barely. The socialist utopia the hippie invasion tried to create has hit a 100 million dollar wall. The incoming fraud who is the father of all that will preside over the bubble burst that will do in the welfare state so beloved by the neo-Marxists. The kids of the hippie crowd are unable to find work in Vermont, and there are only so many worker bee jobs the public dole can support. Vermont cannot print itself out of Debt. At some point, their will be a checkbook reckoning.

Parasites can only survive on a well fed host that has the reserves to support them. My guess is after the bloated ones finish off Vermont, THEY will be the ones moving to Florida, where there is growth, vitality and most importantly a budget healthy enough to feed upon. The feeble minded peepings of "hate" and "Racism" and "teabagger" will follow them. Once the lobotomized droning demands of "social justice", and "working families" finally cross the border heading south, sane, responsible Vermonters can start picking up the pieces of a successful state once known as a moral, just, thriving people proud of hard work, self-reliance, thrift, and community. There are a lot of transplants from NY, CT, NJ, etc. these days, who are looking for a conservative life style who are coming to Vermont. Down sized, out of work, below the bloated pay standards of the public sector unions, those folks are settling into the new Vermont bedrock. Soon those public "service" "working families" demanding "sustainability" lifestyles will find that THEY are the ones carrying the tax load. And nothing, I mean NOTHING reacts more violently and viscerally that a liberal who has to spend "THERE" money. They will hit the bricks as fast as they can, looking to offload their tax load on "rich" people, ie; folks that make more than them.

This process of shedding the bloat is going to hurt, A LOT, but passing a gall stone is the painful start to healing.

Look out Hollywood Florida, the left has heard of you, and that there is sustenance in them thar' hills. And if anything, it show that in 2010, Flatlander is a state of mind, not where you are from.

So to the liberal hungry haters, don't let the Vermont door hit you on your thinking cap on the way out...

Unfortunately for those who moved here with their uber liberal ideas...their children grow up and don't really see things the same way. Result...the children move away.

The bad news is the parents still stay here and vote for Bernie, we get older and older as a state, and poorer and poorer as we do little to nothing about job creation here except continue to perpetuate the "Vermont Myth" that a clean environment and some scenery is going to make us healthy economically.
