In a rare bipartisan vote today the House denied President Obama's bill know as the "War on Coal" which would impose more regulations, forcing more mines to close and bring about thousands of permannet lay offs.
Good news for Ohio and virginia.
However, the Senate has vowed to take up and pass the bill, and if all fails, President Obama stated he would pass it by executive order when it got to his desk.

Agreed congress is just useless, but pass this bill and close the mines and virginia's unemployment will match the rest of the nation.
Especially with them defunding the military by 6 Billion. You think that won't effect Virginia?
Yeah, we really need to rely on the mideast more for energy.
No one from DC that resides in Virginia does our economy any good. Other than property tax, they are all about DC and spend their money there.
Virginia needs the military bases and coal industry. Obama will grin when he shuts one down and puts deep cuts on the other.
Ohio will get hit hard too if the 'War on coal' goes into effect.
