" to support any number of things that communities grow with "

why grow? who needs more crowds and traffic
limited water seems like a great way to limit growth

It would be nice for homeowners to have some buisness/industry move into the county to share the tax burden.

Aqua Virginia has the worse customer service I have ever experienced. The customer service reps are incompetent and unprofessional. The reps are a bunch of rude imbeciles!!

This is so interesting. How many more meetings, talks of deals and years is Fluvanna BOS going to be involved in before somebody, anybody makes a decision about water. For over twenty years I have gone to meetings and listened to the same nonsense with nothing being done. And as far as the DOC water source. Didn't they have code yellow water restrictions for several years during the drought periods? So how can you get water from a source that does not cover the needs od the prison to begin with? Just wondering..........

And where's the money coming from to do all this? Higher taxes?

Plus the extra funds needed support all this new growth in the future?

The only real option for water is the pipeline from the James River and we should own it!

Remember the drought of 2000. The prison was trucking water daily from Aqua Virginia at the Lake. The Rivanna river was extremely low and Aqua Va. was concerned about supplying water and was considering taping into the lake for water.

The wells at Carysbrook are not a endless source of water. And what effect will it have on other wells in the area.

yet another worthless article using the words "considering" and "bubbling". FYI Fluvanna has been "considering" and "bubbling" the water issues since the 1960s nothing changes. If Louisa was smart they would pay for the WHOLE pipeline down to the James River and then rake Fluvanna over the coals when Fluvanna comes begging with their empty watering cans

Louisa has agreed to foot the bill more than once and Fluvanna cannot make up its mind

So... pipeline from the James will be 3mil gals, the other two options are 500k and 75k... if the goal is to foster continued business and residential growth, the James pipeline is the only real choice. Kind of a no-brainer.

You can better believe that there will be no type of development approved that will provide needed goods and services to those of us who live in the northern/north western portion of the county. The comprehensive plan calls for industrial blight and this is what you see there now: trash and recycling facilities, contractor storage yards, propane storage tanks, and other contractor services that serve outside of Fluvanna. Approval of any water plan will only facilitate more industrial blight and cause further deterioration of road infrastructure and negatively impact the peace and quiet for those of us who live in or near their travel path, Route 250. If anyone says this comment is nuts, clueless, or wrong does not live in the area, and does not see, feel, and hear what we do. All this talk of water, probably subsidized by taxpayers, to pay for these types of businesses that are not worth the time or effort. Louisa has you beat hands down Fluvanna--game over!!

all this talk about water, its nice...but how about 4 lanes for rt 15, from Fredricksburg to Farmville for growth....and I know its not popular but a reservoir and not just a pipeline to the James should be considered. Oh, and I still think most of the development will be on Louisa's side for some time to come, they have a grown up county BOS and having a Nuke power plant and big lake doesn't hurt...but its still and never will be as pretty as Fluvanna.
