Recent articles have talked about millenials not knowing how to dress and comport themselves in interviews but it also sems to apply to older people. The young lady pictured looks professional but what about the men in the background? Jeans? Untucked polos? Sneakers? Even for a traditionally blue collar job, you're better in khakis and a button-down oxford, neatly tucked-in.. Americans have become such slobs.

You have to wonder what sort of first impression folks believe that they are making when they show up that way. If that's how they dress when they are trying to land a job, then what will they want to wear on the job? If a person is not going to make the effort on the front end, then I'll assume that they won't put much effort into the job either. There are plenty of candidates out there who do get it.

Good luck to all of the job seekers. It's not easy keeping your chin up in a bad market. I hope some of them find a good gig.

Maybe some of the attendees at the JPJ forum on homelessness will pick up some of them and take them to the Job Fair.

The Charlottesville Community Spring Job Fair is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Most of these gems sleep til noon. I see a scheduling problem

You used to post with a more compassionate and rational tone. Looks to have changed. What gives?

If you go back to the GOP, you are always welcomed back. The GOP will self destruct as long as the Tea Party has it's grip on it.

If the democrats ever go back to the party of JFK I would join up with you.
I like the idea of "ask not what you country can do for you", as opposed to the current philosophy of "ask what I can get for free from my government"

You are entitled to your opinion. Not all are the same. Stereotypes can be dangerous. The 47% thing didn't really work out did it?

There are no politics any more, as far as one party represents a certain consesus. That time has passed. Eisenhowers warning was not heeded.
