Bishop Francis X. DiLorenzo of the Diocese of Richmond has given the Church of the Holy Apostles, a blended Catholic and Episcopal parish, until Feb. 28 to end its 30-year practice of celebrating Holy Communion together.

DiLorenzo told parish leaders in November that allowing Catholics and non-Catholics to participate in a combined communion liturgy was a violation of Roman Catholic norms ...

So you don't understand that, along with the Temple Veil and everything else Jesus taught.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm......
You, earlier on this thread:

"It's hard to listen to a book.

We'll continue to listen to the living Jesus..."

Now, you're playing "my bible can beat up Joe's bible".

Your posts are starting to read like Ken's-self-contradictory.

Consistency Dan, not made up roman control, context and consistency.

Jesus is alive, resurrected, you romans can take him off the crucifix now...

The ever-ready deflection.

Superb.

You cited His words in scripture on another thread. From a book. The one the "romans" provided you (but that's another topic).

I don't care if you use it or not, but you can't be all over the place about it. Don't dismiss it on one thread and make an argument wholly based on it on another.

No, I think I understand John 14:6 well enough; its eclectics like yourself who have trouble with Christ's claims to absolute exclusivity.

My father's house has many mansions - Jesus
What does this mean?
Good question. Nest time try getting the reference correct. I would love to see a house with many "mansions" since the houses I am used to seeing have rooms - man of few - but clearly not mansions.

He got you, Ken.
You asserted (critically) that the RCC denied that Christian unity existed, then you (twice) affirmed TEC superiority.
You're contradicting yourself, rather insistently to boot.
LOL!!!....

If you don't understand that, for a very long time, the Roman Catholic Church has insisted that many other "so-called Christians" are apostate heretics destined for an eternity in Hell, then you don't know much about the history of the RCC.

Get your history books out and read up on the Inquisition. After you are finished with that, go to the library and take something out on Martin Luther. After that, read up on Calvin and Augustine.

When you are done there, go in search of why the English Monarchy never fully submitted to the Roman See, even though certain English monarchs actually did submit. Then, research Tertullian who wrote about the Early Church in the British Isles long before the Church was officially established in Rome.

Sinners abound, Joe.

Fundamentalist Christians sinners exist today in the United States Marine Corps, active and retired. Does that mean that, just because they are militantly anti-anything "Catholic," that all Roman Catholics must go to Hell?

I don't think so, Joe.

Last time I checked the scriptures, the Lord Jesus Christ said that He held the right to do the final choosing.

You gonna argue with Him?

As for Episcopalian superiority, that would be YOUR interpretation. Every Christian denomination, RCC included, thinks they've got a handle on the Way. We think we do. Are we completely right? I doubt it.

Might we have a better take on it with regard to certain practices than do some others? Maybe, in part, for a time. We'll see.

But, just because Dan likes to defend the RCC doesn't mean he or the RCC is right about everything.

Nevertheless, all who openly profess to be followers of Christ Jesus are exactly that, even if they are running the wrong direction and qualify as lost sheep.

Rev. Ken
