I have a neighbor that worked in those coal mines, he can't breath on his own, carry's a oxygen tank around so he can breath, Obama is thinking about those miners lungs and the environment, if you don't have to work in those mines it is easy to criticize one that has other peoples health an issue

I don't think mining companies, at least in my area, hire a lot of people anymore. They mostly use machinery now to extract coal. Most of the heavy equipment operators are hired out of state or far away from the communities where they work. The only thing the coal industry is doing now is scarring the land with very little benefit for the local economies. It's time we look for more environmentally friendly industries to bring jobs to the state.
