Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative reported a total of 15,095 customers without power at 7:08 p.m. Monday, most of those 8,414 in Prince William County.

This is what you need when the power goes out.
1 batteries
2 Emegncy flashlights
3 at least 3 days worth of food
4 at least 3 days worth of water
5 A full tank of gas
6 candles
7 activeties to do like a book,game,cards
8 get a generater if possible
9 a emergency plan out of the city
10 regeler meds
11 dog food
12 Phones charged
13 radio
14 A couple bags of ice in freezer
15 powdered milk
