Be advised! Dont believe ALL that is reported by some of the offenders. Some have the negative things that have happened inside the prison wall to further make false allegations againt staff. I am not saying that some bad things do not happen that where caused by staff. But there is a lot of false allegations said. And for some of us that truely try and do our best and work within policy there, due to others actions it has made us all look bad. But that is not the case so please try and rember that. Dont judge all of us by a few that have done wrong. Those staff members are dealt with accordingly and actions taken against them. I personaly do not have a issue with a staff member that has done something inappropriat to be punished for it. If he/she has done something with/to a offender then by all means that will have to settle the consequences of their actions.

As an offender that was just released from Fluvanna less than a month ago, let me tell you yes you can't believe all inmates but the treatment in "flu-flu" was TERRIBLE, how would you like to be locked in a cell and not be able to use the bathroom for hours because the officers don't "feel" like popping your door to let you out,and no those officers are NOT dealt with in any type of way! I myself had to deal with open heart surgery because an officer took 47 minutes to respond to my roommate pushing the call button in our room for help. So I am proof that Fluvanna's treatment of the women there is not fit for dogs.

I have a friend at Fluvanna. She's tells me they have to hold their urine for hours at a time because the cells don't have toilets. It they can't hold it and have an accident, the women are sent to segregation.

1'st I've heard of cells without toilets. When I was 15 I was in a treatment facilty in Richmond va.PIR northside.locked in cells that were bare nothing for punishment.after 2 weeks of this they threatened to send me to a dentention home.whenever I was let out to use the bathroom I punched as many as I could.2 days later I'm at richmond juvie and got much better treatment there.they try to mentally break kids at PIR.I have no doubt that had a significant impact of my life.Dr. polin if your still alive hope you die soon.ladies in fluvanna sue and get some.

I will be the first to say that all the staff officers and b 7g workers was nothing but great when i was an inmate not one person "staff nor inmate " ever said anything out of thew way to me .on the other hand i pray to god that they have got a new medical provider but still you cant judge the prision over that it is contracted out , but when you go to prision like my self 99% of the inmates are didnt comment the crime so belive me we didnt get there spelling our name wrong

sweety i was in fccw for 5 years and went through many locked dows in that time you have to look at the offisers side also , im not holding up for everyone but fccw has 4 wings to one building with i belive 57 inmates to a wing thats alot of woman having to go at the same time .... with all due respect i had breast cancer while in prision the officers cant help us on that part thats the prision health system so just put blame where blame goes

I was in one of the first shipments to Fluvanna and there was a lot of issues that were over looked or ignored but then it was a new prison learning (hopefully) as it went on. It sure wasn't "hotel fed." and that played a part in the riot of VA vs Fed. Why should other inmates be considered special because their crime was at a federal level? All that did was make some inmates wish they had done their crime federally..... As far as the officer and inmate relations....yes it happened but SOME(not all) were women coming on to officers to get special treatment and when the officer didn't do or get the inmate what they wanted the inmate cried rape or said they were taken advantage of. I don't know what it's like now and truly will never again see for myself. It's not an easy place for sure but when you're there and there's nothing you can do to get out of there ...trying to do it by yourself may be best option. By the way Baskerville is the worst woman that has ever been involved in that place!!!!! She needs a cell of her own! Ms. Huffman was way better and atleast she cared! Baskerville is just a control freak with too much control!!!!!!
