Many, many can't afford the premiums the insurance companies charge - therefore, that becomes denied coverage. With Obama's plan you do not have to join, you can get whatever you want or keep what you have and the company you work for will have to contribute - in today's world this is something companies are cutting back on. There are certainly pros and cons to everything -will Obama's plan work? I don't know but I think it might be better than having the insurance companies gouge on premiums-yet denying certain procedures or meds.<quoted text>
I do not disagree with that. But with insurance companies, multiple choices, you have a better chance of getting the pull for what you want and need, with the government it will be one plan for everyone and whoever is in charge will be deciding what that plan is.
Remember, in spite of there being a well intended president, there is a mostly religious nutjob congress and house of reps.
