What can Fluvanna County do to make these changes happen? We have lost far more than 1 child due to accidents on our dangerous roads but have seen no cooperation from anyone regarding these changes.

I would like to see something done about drivers getting over in the far left lane in front of Walmart (going north), then race through the light into the merge lane to get ahead of the traffic. In order for them to do that, they have to be going over the speed limit.

Pay attention to the light at that intersection. You may be shocked at how fast it changes. It was hard for a car to stop at 55 M.P.H. Its like the rest of the lights on 29, not timed right. 29N is a major road. Why drop the speed limit close to residential speeds. More revenue for unsuspecting, unaware motorist?

I am all for any improvements to Rt 29. I travel this road to work everyday. However, lowering the speed limit is a mask. If motorist continue to run the red lights it does not matter if the speed limit is 35mph! Cut out the hill; this would help with all the rear-ending. And don't even attempt to tell me the lights are synchronized! Bologna! Try sitting in the 5:00 traffic!

Where is the enforcement?

I am so happy that they changed the speed limit to 45, however it needs enforcement. I have not seen one police officer, and beleive me people are still doing 60 65 thru there and up to Walmart and Airport Road. Perhaps a little presence would make a difference. I know the officers do a good job, maybe even that RADAR MACHINE that show how fast you are going should be placed there. Thanks for listening.

There have always been problems at this particular intersection. I think it is a shame it took a death to get Virginia'a dept of transportation moving. How many more deaths need to happen before they fix the rest of the transportation issues.

It depends on who dies or who the departed are related to before the government will do anything. If the person that dies is of no importance to them they will do nothing. It is sad that it is the only way they will do anything.

My son was also in a fatal accident, i agree with all of you. i'm all for the improvements on 29N. the hill SHOULD be cut away. why not put up flashing caution lights to remind drivers of the stop lights. who wouldn't pay more attention to a flashing yellow light than to a sign with the traffic light painted on it. i'd also like to see enforcement at wal-mart going north.

I have been asking this since I saw the almost IMMEDIATE results due to an Albemarle teen dying. What is being done in Fluvanna? We have lost so many and NOTHING IS DONE. It is so frustrating!!!!!!!!

This is a major road with near residential speeds. Those communities like Forest Lakes ruins the road. They need some sort of on ramp.
