"I must also break the news to the Southern crackers and their Northern cousins, and other members of the Jim Crow fraternity, that under socialism America will no longer be “a white man’s country”. It will belong to the coloured people too. They will own as much of it as anyone else and share to the full, without let or hindrance, all its bountiful prosperity and abundance, all its freedoms, rights and privileges—without any exceptions whatever."

The "leaders" of the GOP should be sent this discussion. Perhaps they'd finally understand the racist, hate-filled followers their platform is attracting. Geez, the world is not ending, we are no more a socialist country than we were when George Washington was president. The 1792 act required all men to "provide himself with a good musket or firelock, a sufficient bayonet and belt, two spare flints, and a knapsack, a pouch with a box therein to contain not less than twenty-four cartridges, suited to the bore of his musket or firelock, each cartridge to contain a proper quantity of powder and ball; or with a good rifle, knapsack, shot-pouch and powder horn, twenty balls suited to the bore of his rifle, and a quarter of a pound of powder." Heaven forbid-a personal mandate to go out and buy things! Socialist, socialist.......now continue your diatribe

Socialist, socialist.......now continue your diatribe Well, not to mention the fact - if I read that correctly - that the "personal mandate" that comes with the ACA was a proposal borrowed from the Heritage Foundations. If you're a right-wing angry type and don't know what that is then shame on you. Look it up. The reasoning behind the conservative Heritage Foundation's personal mandate proposal? So that freeloaders would stop mooching off of the fine, responsible, hard working folk of the world. So if you want to be a good right winger that thinks everyone should pull his/her own weight, then support the mandate! U.S. politics makes me nauseous. Dumb as a box of rocks.

Thinking Free and the similar ilk never had any pride so that is an easy directive for them to follow. For those of us who actually earn our keep and store up for rainy days in future, is represents a complete re-wiring of the psyche.

You are certainly in a bit of a rut on the old fat white guy perception. You just can't let go of it. We're not all fat. Old maybe and white for sure, but not fat. There are fat people of all colors (not so many Asian)and incomes out there. They are being stalked and terminated slowly, indiscriminately, and equally by Ronald McDonald and his friends.

Will you refuse Christ as your savior?

We'll never know, but we do know that Kennedy started our intervention in Vietnam after Truman and Ike turned our collective backs to Ho Chi Minh by basically reversing a promise to acknowledge their sovereignty over the French colonialism... was the rubber worth it?
