WOW! It is about time PCPD gets a real command official. Phil Kirk does not deserve the position he has let alone that of Chief. Hopefully, Carpenter will bring about much needed change in PCPD.
PCPD has the potential to be the BEST department in Utah and the most fun place to work. A great City and a great Government. Now they can have a great Department as well.
Congrats residents and visitors of Park City. There is hope!

Ok dude, let it go. Everyone at PCPD knows who you are and why you can't seem to get on with your life. It's over, move on. It's easy to stay on the sidelines and b****, it's another thing to get in there and be a leader.

Oh, I have moved on very successfully thank you. It is those at PCPD that can not move on. In fact, anyone worth their salt has moved on from PCPD. The only ones left are the losers. And the citizens there deserve so much more than they are getting. Hopefully, Carpenter will clean house and get rid of the worthless individuals who are self-important.

Congratulations to Chief Wade Carpenter and congratulations to Captain Phil Kirk. I aplaude you both for a job well done. You should both hold your heads high. To the fomer disgrundled PCPD officer, give it up. No one cares about your opinion but you. Go spew your hate and venoum somewhere else.

Just a quick warning to Park City. Here in Ivins, under the direction of Carpenter as our police cheif, we went from spending $199,062 in 2003 on law enforcement to $1,204,298 in 2007. Beware of tax increases and city utility rates going sky high to pay for it all.

The population of Ivins went from 4,450 (July 2000) to 7,205 (as of July 2007). I would understand an increase that would be double or triple the amount that was spent in 2003 of $199,062. But, 10 times the amount spent in 2003! Come on, give me a break! The Police Chief may not levy taxes. However, how does a city pay for the budget that he request?

dude, Ivins has grown more than what you posted and you know that. the growth in Ivins has been phenomenal as it is a direct result of being next to St. George. also, with all the infrastructure that was needed for Ivins growth, law enforcement too needed to be upgraded. i've seen how wade has helped ivins grow a great deal and the town is better for it...despite an increase in spending, there has not been much increase in crime for Ivins, as its been controlled even with a minimal police presence...I think Park City is going to benefit from a very savvy and intelligent leader.....good luck PCPD
