The USA state departments are well behind the times with regards to lethal drugs for executions.

The best one by far (diamorphine) has NO SHORTAGE at any time as it is sitting in evidence stores of multiple police departments and probably masses a ton by volume per state @ any particular time.

The illegally imported narcotic diamorphine (impure) is usually an amber solid with the alkaloid soluble in water in the mix. It is known largely by its usual name "Heroin".
As expected, Heroin is ganerally lethal in a large enough dose & is also lethal in small doses over large amounts of time.

It was not considered as a drug of choice by lethal injection as a result of it being too dangerous to use as it caused death. A bit of an object defeating excercise as a prevention of use for lethal injection isn't it.

Time for the USA state departments to rethink their policies in light of numerous "human rights" bans on usage of other medical anaesthetics used for lethal injections. Propofol may however (Michael Jackson fame) be a 2nd resort for most states once the main medical usage drugs become too short supply to use.

Would recommend usage of heroin as a lethal injection for jailed violent drug addicts with a bad attitude & lengthy kill list prior to arrest. It seems appropriate somehow.

We should reinstitute public hangings at the town square. Rope is cheap and seeing justice meted out would be a huge deterrent for those considering committing violent crimes.
