I was struck by Pat Bagley's political cartoon that appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune on Sunday, June 12, that seemed to complain about Evangelical Republicans' unwillingness to accept, let alone embrace, Mormonism in a presidential candidate.

Strange opinion.

We're all black or white, no shades of gray. "Evangelicals" (as if that were a defined term) take their cues from "Utah politicians." "All of you" have the same notions about government, leisure time, and marriage - even the bible. "Utah" has to look less "wacky" or else we're all in trouble.

I hope the author feels better now, especially after the paper agreed to print his article.(In reality, summer vacation has started; hence, there are fewer letters to print). Sleep well.

Absolutely. If only we could all be just a little more like Iran, we would be free to pursue our dreams.

Thank goodness people like you are around to remind us that we should be looking outside our 'whacky' state for guidance on what is 'normal.' I am particularly distressed that our politicians haven't been fathering the requisite number of children out of wedlock to make us 'normal.' Not even a facebook peepee pic.

So let this be a 2nd plee - we need to be more like the forward thinking states of California and New York to achieve our potential. If you aren't drowning in debt and revelling in moral and societal decline, you aren't worthy to speak your mind. Don't you people remember? we voted on this in 2008....HELLLLLLOOOOOOO.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL?

Sorry Carl. The rest of the country does think Utah is a bit "weird." That's an irrefutable fact.
