We need to get rid of "federal" judges, we are the people we can do it. They no longer represent US citizens.

Wow, that's stupid.

Judges are not supposed to "represent" anyone. They are supposed to interpret the application of the law. Maybe you don't remember thta stuff about the three branches of government. This is high school stuff.

Comments like your are anti-American. You should learn a little more, before shooting your mouth off about things that you obviously do not understand.

This law was DOA, and everyone knew it. The lege and gov were stupid to pass it, knowing that this is exactly what woud happen.

Anit American is allowing liberal judges to throw out the will of the people (prop 187 CA ). Judges are not impartial thats why Presidents load the courts with judges with similiar ideaology. Government is only supported by the people if it follows the rule of law(otherwise there is no law, ie lawlessness). They are not gods on Mt Olympus. What is Anit American is allowing our borders to be overrun with FOREIGN national border hoppers. Your just another sheep, try thinking for yourself.

Why is it that there is so much support for illegal immigrants in Syracuse? Do a lot of them live there? There is nothing wrong with a country trying to rid itself of illegal imvaders short of a revolution. Federal judges sometimes like to give their interpretation of the law, or make their own. Federal judges need to be elected to office, not appointed. We had a good law. Still is. The one we need to get rid of is HB116 granting amnesty to the illegal alien invaders. Better yet, get rid of the 60 Senators who supported it at the behest of the LDS church.

HB 116 is also toast, and for the same reason - states cannot make their own immigration law. It's a federal thing, yo.

If it's toast, WHY are Atty Gen Shurtleff and Gov. Herbert going to Washington to peddle the issue? And according to reports, the Obama Administration is panting after their idea of amnesty.

They are going to beg AG Holder not to sue them. They can also use that time to peddle the idea to the feds and Congress, but the fact remains that the states are not allowed to make their own immigration policy. Herbert and the leg knew this before they passed the laws, which make all of them an exercise in stupidity.

For once, unfortunately, I AGREE with you. Scary isn't it. Good job.

Not - A slight but important correction. States CAN legislate their own immigration law while the feds continue to pursue the policy of nonenforcement of their own laws. The deciding factor here is this - the state that brings forth its own legislation MUST NOT USURP the federal immigration law, in other words the state must enact law that only SUPPLEMENTS the federal law.

I agree with you, Utah HB 116 is toast - but not because it is state law, rather it USURPS and goes well beyond the federal law regarding immigration.

Sounds like the rich are getting over on the poor in Utah too. Why should states wait for the federal government to do their job? It's not going to happen. It's about time we get rid of all incumbants that don't have the time or desire to balance our budget and enforce our immigration laws.

Amen to that.
