The firing squad should be running day and night. Clean out some of the prisons and overcrowding will cease to exist. I would also implement a lottery so the public can take part in this but you have to bring your own firearm and ammo.

The American Civil Liberties Union decried Gardner's execution as an example of what it called the United States' "barbaric, arbitrary and bankrupting practice of capital punishment."
==========

I can see why they're against it.

But they have nothing to worry about:
The punishment for TREASON is 'death by hanging'.

They should be more concerned with that......

I must have missed something.
Five marksman, five rifles, one bullet is blank so
they won't know who fired the fatal shot?
I got news for you if one is blank the other four are real which means that FOUR fired the fatal shot.
And why, after two murders, does it take 25 years to execute this lowlife Thank You A.C.L.U.
There's an organization I wouldn't mind see being in
stood up in front of a firing squad.
I'll even supply the bullets.

May there one day be true justice for the United States, California and the City and County of Los Angeles; whereby the Mayor and Council Members of Los Angeles as well as the Supervisors for Los Angeles County be brought up on charges of extortion (for blatantly robbing the citizens of the City of Los Angeles who trusted them to spend their tax dollars wisely and failed to do so); graft (for taking those same tax dollars and lining the pocket of their political supporters over and above the welfare of the citizenry to whom they owe their positions through the electoral process) and treason (for declaring the City of Los Angeles and it's environs as a 'Sanctuary City' in clear violation of California Penal Code 834(b) and the Federal Immigration and Naturalization Act and allowing Invaders from a stated enemy of America to cross the southern border of the United States and begin the process of undermining the democratic foundation of the Republic).

Once found guilty; and as treason is a Capital Offense, they should be taken to a Federal Penetentiary, given their last meal, allowed any last words - then lined up before a firing squad and summarily executed for the crimes they are found guilty of.

Furthermore; as a deterrent; their replacements in City Hall and in the Supervisors Offices should be required to observe - this to remind them that in no uncertain terms will actions of the type that these current holders of public office be tolerated; that under no uncertain terms will the public's trust be dishonored and violated without swift, harsh and final punishment be administered.

Persons who do so are no less than the 'Career Criminal' that Gardner was; indeed Gardner MAY have had a valid excuse through his upbringing (I'll let the liberals argue that one). In the case of our city's 'Leaders'; they know full well what they're doing and why; no brain damage there. Their act of robbery, extortion and treason are done with malicious intent and full knowledge of the potential consequeces. They make these actions willfully.

Someday.

You are quite silly and disgusting. I love the idea of killing scum that are 100% guilty. However public displays have 2 problems. 1 problem is that it'n not a decent thing to. The second problem is that you can end up glorifying a criminal. A quiet non event execution is what is needed. No attention should be gained by these scum.

Why didn't you include bush and his gang of thieves. They screw up a whole country not just a city. Add arnold and both parties to the bonfire.

One thing at a time. You gotta start somewhere; why not start at home? Fix that; then take your success and move on to bigger things. Other cities see what you do; they do the same - then you get together with them and all go after the larger game - State and Federal.

But first you gotta take many small steps until you grow big enough to take the larger ones.

This would be but the first. Fix the city first; that's your home.
