Funny how this New York Slimes columnist plays a subliminal game by conveniently omitting the "SEMI" prefix from his description of the semi-automatic .45 caliber pistol.

To only say "automatic" implies FULLY AUTOMATIC - which instills thoughts of gangsters with bullet-riddling machine guns.

Hopefully, this columnist's left-wing, agenda-driven boss Arthur "Pinch" Sulzberger Jr. will give him a raise if he keeps up the good work.

The Second Ammendment is a Right of free people. A qualified, trained citizen who is armed has proven to be, a: clearly positive impact to public safety. Only outlaws will have guns if guns are outlawed.

Maybe all the gun nuts should move out to Utah and stop pushing their special agenda tripe on the rest of us.

What agenda would that be DrC Ohio? Upholding the Constitution of the United States/2nd Amendment rights? That doesn't sound like an agenda that sounds like the contract our government has with we the people.

If having a concealed-carry permit makes you a nut, the world would be a much safer place if there were more nuts!

You're giving the ink-stained wretches at the NY Times too much credit by presuming that they are intelligent enough to comprehend this distinction.

That would be an agenda of absolutely no regulations when it comes to firearms. Believe it or not I'm not opposed to firearms, but the gun nut lobby has taken the common sense out of the debate.

Maybe all of the liberal nuts should move down to Cuba where only the police and military have owned guns since 1959 and stop pushing their special agenda tripe on the rest of us. You will be delighted being a Havana resident.

Anybody that feels the need to carry a gun secretly harbors the desire to use it. Why else would they do it? I never realized that many people suffer from tiny tooter syndrome. It must be hell.

The correct term is "autoloading pistol".

Does that mean because I have car insurance I secretly desire to get in a car wreck? People that take the time and effort to legally obtain a permit to carry a handgun wish to do so in a LAWFUL MANNER. A Utah permit provides the means to carry in several states unlike a New York permit which is a major pain in the ass to get and easily revoked.

And you have the over 20,000 Federal, State, County, Municipal and City firearms laws to back you up, huh?
