Hey, Utah, you have to learn the hard way! Illegal aliens DO NOT stimulate the economy...just ask California. As a matter of fact, just look at LA. If illegal aliens were so great for the economy, then california would be the richest country in the nation! NOT! It goes hat in hand for over a billion dollars each month in order to make ends meet. No one ever cites the states/cities that are thriving because of illegal aliens, they just tell us that without citing examples.

Oh well, Utah has to learn on its own...unless, this is another ploy to gain votes.

This is the same crap the liberals and Big Business said about CA 20 years ago. Illegals are good for the economy. HAHAHAHA

It's not principled reform as long as nothing is done about the border.

The Dems want all those illegals to vote for them so they don't do anything about the border. Naturally its illegal for illegals to vote in federal elections, but hey! When you're already illegal and one national party promises them salvation, what's one more law they can break?

The Republicans don't do anything about the border because they don't want to offend yet another ethnic crowd that votes en bloc.

Who speaks for the overburdened taxpayer? If you want to know the facts about illegals' impact on us, you need to read apolitical and unbiased reports from unimpeachable sources based on fact, not hysteria. Go here:

Just a thought. There were no regular, legal Utah citizens who signed the compact. It was big business leaders, some misguided and arrogant legislators, the Catholic Bishop (who should be minding his own business), several other religious leaders and the Mexican Activist groups. The majority of the citizens in Utah want the illegal immigrants deported and the people who hired them fined and jailed. Any suggestions?
