I am appalled, and pissed as hell... when I am stuggling to pay my taxes,, live from day to day.. and the state of Utah has a "secret" fund to payout 13 million to a contractor for doing nothing. How much more hidden money is there that the State of Utah has that we do not know about?

IF the governor has nothing to hide, what reason does he have to not release the information. Reading the governor's letter to the Carroon campaign it sounded to me that he was personally attacking him, know the facts before you try to respond Gov. Herbert, as multiple individuals and groups have stated the same things. All of Utah deserves better than what the current administration is doing.

I think, in this case, Carroon is the better man for the job. With Herbert, it looks like rewards and coverups to me. Same old, same old.

Between all of the graft and sex offender children; this doesn't look like a good election cycle for Herbert.

To me, the $13M payout is an admission of guilt.

Ah, but Mr. Herbert claims he knew nothing about it until the news conference.

Not being here or interviewing either or them or even having a clue what the processes are here, you really don't know. I know the bidding and awarding processes here in Utah Government. The Governor truly is not a part of these processes. Read the law before you put your two cents worth in. Carroon has been personally attacking him on numerous occasions. He gets answers and he calls them lies. He knows nothing about the state purchasing, tax, and bidding processes either. He is clueless. That I know from sitting in on a couple of interviews done with him. Groups and individuals doesn't mean they have any more knowledge than Corroon does.

You may know the law, and I live here, but I don't for one minute believe that Mr. Herbert has nothing to do with who gets the bids. The head of UDOT reports to him. If you believe otherwise, I have a bridge in the Arizona desert I'll let you bid on, and if you pay me enough, I'll let you have it.

It was our taxes that paid this contractor off. If a contract is oked by someone and is a written acceptance. The standard to back out is 10% at least.

But why did this happen. The Governor will loose.
