just because someone is undocumented does not mean that they are criminals, its unfair to put immigrants in the same category as people that have raped, stolen, murdered, kidnapped, smuggled drugs. there are criminals that are immigrants but its not fair to claim every immigrant is a criminal. its too bad that we only focus on what a person looks like, where they came from, what culture they are, what language one speaks. i dont believe the anglo race will become the minority or that spanish will become the language of America, these fears are just crazy to me.

Isn't undocumented a watered down way of saying illegal alien? Let's not sugar coat it call it what it is. Someone who does something ILLEGAL is a breaking the law. A crime is committed when anyone breaks the laws of the land. therefore a criminal. The comparison issue between criminals and immigrants not being fair. You are right I don't know of anyone that has said being a immigrant is being a criminal. I have only heard people saying being an Illegal immigrant is committing a crime. Your analogy is like saying well someone who is white must not be a child molester, drug dealer or thieve or murder because white people don't do that. We ought not judge people based on the color of their skin or the language they speak. People who break the law are inherently bad people who have no regard for law in the first place. Or they somehow think the are exempt or immune to it. Whether they are white, brown, black or green. People who gravitate towards law breaking activity continue to go down that path. Enter the country illegal (break the law) obtain illegal documentation (break the law). Being a criminal is being a criminal with different degrees and severity of crime. To say it is perfectly legal to ignore the law and it's okay to be an illegal undocumented alien is to disregard the laws of the land and thus you are a criminal.

NO, you are wrong. Crossing the border without authorization is a crime. Overstaying a visa, or crossing legally and then staying is NOT a crime. It is a civil offense, and not a criminal offense.
Someone who travels at one mile per hour over the speed limit is breaking the law. Are they all criminals ? No, they are civil offenders. You need to learn the difference between a civil and criminal offense, or you will be calling every speeder (every driver at one point or another) a criminal.
Get educated before throwing around accusations. ABout 50% of immigration law offenders are NOT criminals, as per the law. That's not my opinion, that's just the facts.

I disagree I believe something of interpretation as my interpretation is there are laws and their are ordinances but laws if broken make you a law breaker and a law breaker is a criminal civil law or criminal law if broken are still the same fact you have broke the law and are a criminal quit twisting interpretations and quote facts

So, your statement applies to jaywalkers, people who drive a little fast on occasion, people who don't buckle their seatbelt, people who have a beer at age 20, etc. ANd it applies to the people who mailed the list.
"People who break the law are inherently bad people who have no regard for law in the first place."

I don't think anyone would agree with you.

The FACT is that there is a legal distinction, a legal difference between a civil and a criminal offence. "Criminal" is a legal term. One who offends against the civil code is not a criminal. One who offends against the criminal code is a criminal.
You can cling to your ignorance as hard as you like, but it only makes you ignorant.

Those who break laws under the civil code as opposed to the criminal code are not criminals. Jaywalkers are not criminals. They are not "inherently bad people with no respect for the law" as you state. They have only violated a civil code, not a criminal code. Same thing applies to those who overstay their visas. This is not my opinion, this is a clear matter of legal code. If you don't like it, it may be beacuse your own opinions matter more to you than the law. Does this make you inherently bad? I don't think so. You are just lacking in knowledge, or ignorant.

Ask a cop, if you are determined to be simplistic, dense, and wrong.

I understand people come here to escape a poor circumstance in their motherland. What I don't understand why we must accept that they want to make this country become like the ones they escaped from?
