I first met and worked with this fine gentleman at Houston elementary & middle school in the early 90's, He later coached my kids after school at Dolphin Terrence. Mr. Willie Gager (Each one Teach one) its been my pleasure and an honor to have known you and even put on your Championship Ring from 66, words do little justice for the compassion and love I and others know you have in that big, big heart. I wish you continued success and improving health. congratulations sir, you deserve all of our blessings and support!

Willie Cager has battled gambling addiction.
Make sure there's an accounting of the money that is being raised for this stuff. He may be gambling it away.

You were a class act then and you continue to be one now. Thanks for the great memories and for the wonderful things you have accomplished in your life.

Good Lord! One accomplishment 45 years ago and people are still living off it. I guess when that is all you have and are ever going to be you have to make the most of it. Hey El Paso, here's a little hint that may help you out: Move forward. A lot has happened since 1966. Focus on your current basketball program. Football would be nice too.

That from someone who did nothing to distinguish himself and will be forgotten by history. At least give the man credit for trying to give back to a community that gave him something special, even if it wasn't his hometown. Good luck, Willie.

Better yet, why don't you get up off your como se yama and become part of Willie's foundation? That way you can do something positive for the community AND satisfy your own ignorant suspicions! You see...in this world there are 2 kinds of people: The people who do, and the whiners that don't. Which one do you fall under? Be truthful (sic).

2013, years after a great accomplishment and our white brothers still hating a black man that got the better of them, are you too dumb to realize, he's not asking for anything, we keep that moment in time alive. and in case some of you are too stupid to see it, it was the beginning of blacks ruling basketball, look at major college and the NBA, who are the stars, where did it start. stop letting hatred show what a fool you are.
