A large number of Americans continue to adamantly oppose the nationís new health-care law and believe it will produce damaging results, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

Forty-four percent of respondents call the health-care law a bad idea, while 31 percent believe itís a good idea ó virtually unchanged from Julyís NBC/WSJ survey.

By a 45 percent to 23 percent margin, Americans say it will have a negative impact on the countryís health-care system rather than a positive one.

We see an agent did not use deadly force to protect his self today...

Wanna bet his superiors raised holy hell..... Causing the restraint...

It is a very bad lesson, these thugs might erroneously think everyone will be so nice!

What is your point? Since when do the people know anything?

All border politicians should be in jail. Also the architect of the Texas Dream Act, Rick Perry.

The headline referring to border reps would suggest that Gallego is more than one person. This is just about one idiot Democrat disagreeing with a patriotic Republican. The idiot is also helping to bankrupt his county by sticking them with all the costs of border enforcement which he refuses to do. If they would pass an Everify bill that applies to ALL employers and government assistance payments, develop a good visa tracking system and do away with our erroneous policy of granting of birthright citizenship, like every other developed country already has, we would have an easier job of securing the border. Everify first.

Let us never forget the cowardly act of American terrorism that hit this country 50 years ago this week at the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala. Four precious and priceless little girls were killed by a bomb set by the extremist Christian terrorists known as the KKK.

The political shenanigans are underway!

Note, these devious snakes only allowed testimony supporting their position,
At a STATE scool?

There needs be a TEXAS REGENT ALERT???

U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke, D-Texas, and the Border Network for Human Rights partnered to host the gathering, following a Congressional field hearing on immigration reform at El Paso's City Hall.
U.S. Reps. Raul Grijalva, D-Ariz., and Filemon Vela, D-Texas, joined O'Rourke for the field hearing that allowed community leaders from government, law enforcement, business, as well as immigration reform advocates to speak.

At the rally, Vela said he and O'Rourke plan to introduce legislation next week that will provide a path to U.S. citizenship within six years, and which is not conditioned on militarizing the border. Grijalva was unable to attend the rally.
Both lawmakers, who addressed the audience in Spanish, said they are opposed to immigration reform proposals that require up to 13 years to gain citizenship and separates families.

What does the murder of innocent young girls have to do with enforcing our immigration laws? I don't see the connection. I really hope you're not trying to equate the two.

You're damn straight! Both issues are pertinent because both involve terroristic threats, people of color and white supremacy. Innocent people will suffer either way and we need to have a heart and not railroad the situation through. I believe Rep. Guitierrez of IL has the best approach. Fair minded people can disagree but compassion must rule the day.
