Early last year, Perry had a radio ad in Illinois explaining the benefits of businesses relocating to Texas:

"Advantages over Illinois, including no personal state income tax, a larger workforce, lower unemployment, a lower rate of union membership and a less expensive worker's compensation program."

While the Ill governor called it a publicity stunt, it is interesting to note that among the states, Texas rates 17 in unemployment at 5.2%; while Illinois rates 49th at 7.9%(with a 5% state tax)

You forgot to mention the low wages in texASS. No one in their right mind would want to live in such a backwards uncultured state! You can carry an AK 47 into a restaurant but forget about a living wage!!

Real low wages must be the reason why a house in Austin that costs
$150,000 would sell for three times that much almost anywhere
on the West Coast.
