Top Texas leaders announce 'surge,' no specifics
The state's Republican leadership has announced it has authorized the Texas Department of Public Safety to spend about $1.3 million per week to fund what is called "law enforcement surge operations" to fight a surge of illegal immigration along the Texas-Mexico border.

Because they have absolutely nothing in common and nobody cares if they waste their money on something that will solve nothing.
Here is a Texas fun fact: This week the Dallas County commissioners passed a resolution supporting the payment of reparations to African-Americans. In an amusing twist it turns out they never read it before voting.
