Is he not a politican? Nothing unusal. Look at salary and the present government wants to cut welfare, medicare, medicaid and social security. One month of his salary is more than welfare people make in a year. way to go. Let the poor people starve.

He is no better than the illegals that come here a rob us of our money by getting two to three check in the name of social security. I saw on the news where a man get two governments worth thousands.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- these jerk-wads are in politics for the sole purpose of enriching themselves at the taxpayers expense. Every single one of them. I told you, didn't I? Dedicated public servants? What a laugh. What's even more of a pathetic joke is YOU the taxpayer let it happen - over and over again. Why? Because someday YOU hope to be in the same position. Welcome to the REAL America.

Thank God he was able to collect his pension! What with his free housing, transportation, medical and meals, how could anyone expect him to live on a measley 150K a year?

Lunkhead Gov. Perry needs that extra income - that Brokeback Mountain jacket he wore in his "war on religion" ad didn't come cheap. And nobody on either side of the aisle want lunkhead Perry to go broke-back....

I agree with earlier poster, all politicians are greedy and over paid. Not sure how to fix this one, ticked me off to find out they are able to use inside information to enrich themselves further...

I'm glad to see the name callers on here. Listen up idiots: Why don't you find out who sponsored the bill to allow this, who voted for it, and what Dimocratic Governor signed it into law. It is legal for Perry to do this, so shut up and find something else to cry about. Some of you have a long way to maturity and some of you will never get past that Ninnnnth Grade emotional level, but try at least.

I don't believe I called this one out in particular, the whole group of them...politicians.

of course they enact legislation that will benefit themselves and their cronies. THAT is exactly what I said and it is true.
Just wish, we the people, had a workable way to end their self-enrichment. Then we might actually get people running for office that cared more about serving than getting wealthier.(as you have to be wealthy to even play this game)
And this is the end of my political commentary, I usually forgo this type of discussion, as I don't care for name calling, etc. and that is what seems to come from any political discourse.

Yes, but he's still gonna get paid after his death because he had Rick Perry do the deal for him.
