A large proportion of the flag officers in the U.S. Military have "converted" to socialism. During the Clinton administration, they embraced the social agendas of the "Clintons." The began programs to retain gays in the military, at any cost. Only the Conservate movement forced Clinton to (at least) surrender to "Don't ask, don't tell." These socialist flag officers, turned weasel politicians, also embraced the feminist agenda, and relented to permit women to serve in combat, or near combat, roles. There are various other "social experiments" going on in the military, from political correctness run amok to lawyers running the action on the battlefield. As great as some officers have been, notably Schwarzkopf, Franks, Petraeus, even GWB did very little to protect the military from social experimentation. It is one thing for intelligence officers to learn cultural and religious habits of their theater of operations, it is quite another to try to match up religions with the battle area. These are just a few examples of he "feminization" of the military brass that have resulted from PC politicians.

Here's an example of how corrupt our logic has become in this age or moral fright.
An article appeared in the METRO here in Boston one day (a free paper with european lineage before being purchased and taken over by an almost equally liberal Boston Globe). A horrific incident had occured only days earlier in Iraq when 2 developmentally delayed Women were armed and used by remote detonation as disposable ordinance in a successful effort to kill more than one hundred Women and Children (as an exclusive target selection) within a family marketplace generally and primarily occupied by the same said demographic. So how do you suppose the story heading read?
"Al Queda shows it's RESILIENCE in attack on market!!!"
Now, I take your point precisely and without disagreement when and how you mention Tim McVeigh (among others). That is precisely what I pestered the METRO about in repeated calls. I asked them repeatedly if Tim McVeigh might have been RESILIENT - while I also told them to thank their lucky stars that people were stupid enough to let their grotesque self convenience in their moral sensibility slide by. I in fact went all around the city that day pointing the story out to people who were holding the paper and could not get one single person to denounce the story or the actions which inspired it. We live in the age of moral fright where the cry of the cosmopolitan elite is ever and only "how dare you judge with your evil, racist, Eurocentric value system! How dare you judge anyone or anything!!!" By this the elite are self recused in their duty to ever condemn anything where there is no popular appeal or where a party is being target that will not suffer there indignation in any event. This backward mantra pervades in all things, and I could go on and on with examples, but it would do not good. The Cosmopolitan elite have ensured that our youth have been so very well instructed in this rationalized and egrandized morality of least resistance, and so we are steeped in absurdity everywhere we look. But oh how brave the lance is taken to those who would engage the elite in dialogue and whom do meet their otherwise evasive moral concern, like - the Christian he does not fear to openly detest while fawning the devils which tickle their better - secret (not so)- convenient - fancy, as with those freedom fighters abroad (our enemies) who only fight the imperial fire (America) with the fire at hand (you know what I mean). While I might have gone a bit over the top there, I only ask that people be consistent (regardless of where they stand on the issue of those wars in which we have become embroiled). I only ask that people be consistent in their indignation, but it proves again and again to be an imposible expectation.
"""SPAM!!! """...." ""CLUELESS!!!" ""...."" "NUTS!!!"" "

That'll show em! And I won't dignify whatever he said by saying or doing any more than that!...."""Bee p...Beep""".... Out of the way!!!!!.....Here comes another hum dinger of a piece of commentary from the bright boy (or girl)........

Wait for it..........Wait for it..........

"""NUTS!!! """....CLUELESS !!!""".... """SPAM!!! """..........

Did anyone notice the clever change in arrangement that time?????

Well, based on your description of the article, I would've taken umbrage at the Metro headline, as well.

But I must take issue with your claim that anyone is attempting to make Major Hasan a "victim".

No one has done that, to my knowledge, at all. Not me, certainly. And certainly not President Obama.

I agree with that.

I also wonder if there's any responsibility on the part of the Army, here. Not that they are responsible for the killings, in any way.

But this man was a Major. He was writing very questionable things on his web blog. And he was given the responsibilty by the US Army for managing the mental health of countless men and women returning from extraordinarily stressful combat situations.

Like 9/11, or the serial killer in Cleveland, or the guy who kept the kidnapped girl in a tent in his backyard for 20 years, it's very easy to assign blame after the fact.

No it's not, and you sir are a liar. Anyone who has researched the history of the false prophet mohammed or read the Qur`an can see that. The only laws that a muslim even begins obeying, and he only obeys when interacting with other muslims, his religion excuses him from doing anything he wishes to anyone not of their perverted faith. Rape, murder, false testimony, there are no limits. Being a muslim is pretty popular in prison's where in America they do a lot of there recruitment, looking for the most degenerate and violent of criminals who themselves readily flock to this cult because in their minds it legitimizes their behavior to society. Islamist are sc.um!
More violent, degenerate criminals find Jesus in jail than find Mohammed.

What does that mean for Christianity, then, using your logic?

He shouts "God is great!" then all hell breaks loose! That sounds like a terrorist and terroristic act to me. 9/11 all over again, and this time under Obama's watch! I blame our extremely liberal immigration policy for this. Remember Cho? Chai Vang? And more..........All are or were mass killers and all are or were immigrants! These terrorists and mass murderers are currently pouring into our country like there is no tomorrow! Real immigration reform is desperately needed before you or any other American is killed by these foreigners, these bad immigrants! Immigration is a luxury we can do without.

Who's gonna fill the extreme doctor shortage we have in the US?

You?

How many non-American doctors have you met in the last ten years.

Legal immigrants have ALWAYS been a benefit to this country.

Does Westboro Baptist Church speak for all Christians?

I don't celebrate when ANYONE dies.

But things aren't as black and white as you'd make them. There is nuance in the world.

Were all of the black people who cheered the OJ verdict celebrating because two white people were slaughtered?

Were the Muslims who cheered the fall of the WTC buildings really celebrating the death of innocent men, women and children?

Dig a little deeper. Use your brain.

It's called hitting bottom and working to improve oneself.

On the other hand, Islam seems to be against people and just keeps people down.

So given a choice of criminals finding God, it's far better that they choose Christianity than Islam.

Remember, Islam is not about peace, it's about conquering. Heck, that's what Mohammad did - he conquered. His peaceful Sura's are when he was in Mecca - before he had armies.

It seems you are trying to do the usual liberal "moral equivalencing". It doesn't work when one religion is about helping people and the other is about enslaving people.

Allen wrote:
Fort Hood's 9/11
Islamist terror strikes US again Ralph Peters Saturday, November 7th, 2009 'The New York Post'
On Thursday afternoon, a radicalized Muslim US Army officer shouting "Allahu Akbar!" committed the worst act of terror on American soil since 9/11. And no one wants to call it an act of terror or associate it with Islam.
What cowards we are. Political correctness killed those patriotic Americans at Ft. Hood as surely as the Islamist gunman did. And the media treat it like a case of non-denominational shoplifting.
This was a terrorist act. When an extremist plans and executes a murderous plot against our unarmed soldiers to protest our efforts to counter Islamist fanatics, it's an act of terror. Period.
When the terrorist posts anti-American hate-speech on the Web; apparently praises suicide bombers and uses his own name; loudly criticizes US policies; argues (as a psychiatrist, no less) with his military patients over the worth of their sacrifices; refuses, in the name of Islam, to be photographed with female colleagues; lists his nationality as "Palestinian" in a Muslim spouse-matching program, and parades around central Texas in a fundamentalist playsuit - well, it only seems fair to call this terrorist an "Islamist terrorist."
But the president won't. Despite his promise to get to all the facts. Because there's no such thing as "Islamist terrorism" in ObamaWorld.
And the Army won't. Because its senior leaders are so sick with political correctness that pandering to America-haters is safer than calling terrorism "terrorism."
And the media won't. Because they have more interest in the shooter than in our troops - despite their crocodile tears.
Maj. Nadal Malik Hasan planned this terrorist attack and executed it in cold blood. The resulting massacre was the first tragedy. The second was that he wasn't killed on the spot.
Hasan survived. Now the rest of us will have to foot his massive medical bills. Activist lawyers will get involved, claiming "harassment" drove him temporarily insane. There'll be no end of trial delays. At best, taxpayer dollars will fund his prison lifestyle for decades to come, since our politically correct Army leadership wouldn't dare pursue or carry out the death penalty.
Maj. Hasan will be a hero to Islamist terrorists abroad and their sympathizers here. While US Muslim organizations decry his acts publicly, Hasan will be praised privately. And he'll have the last laugh.
But Hasan isn't the sole guilty party. The US Army's unforgivable political correctness is also to blame for the casualties at Ft. Hood.
Given the myriad warning signs, it's appalling that no action was taken against a man apparently known to praise suicide bombers and openly damn US policy. But no officer in his chain of command, either at Walter Reed Army Medical Center or at Ft. Hood, had the guts to take meaningful action against a dysfunctional soldier and an incompetent doctor.
Had Hasan been a Lutheran or a Methodist, he would've been gone with the simoon. But officers fear charges of discrimination when faced with misconduct among protected minorities.
Now 12 soldiers and a security guard lie dead. 31 soldiers were wounded, 28 of them seriously. If heads don't roll in this maggot's chain of command, the Army will have shamed itself beyond moral redemption.
This a brilliant post summing up the situation. Now, what do we do about it? Call or email your representatives and for God's sake pay attention to whom you vote for next year.
