Women are no more or less powerful than men, when it comes to sexuality. I'm just completely fed up with prolifers pretending that there isn't another party at fault in the picture, and the way they try to police female sexuality but never give a thought to telling the men to control themselves, for a change.

This permissive attitude society has about male sexuality is why there are so many single mothers. All of the blame is placed solely on the females, and the males get a free pass. It's time to start holding men accountable for their sexual choices too, instead of blaming every act of sex on the woman.

Absolutely Leonine! They will do, say, anything to promote the typical "boys will be boys" attitude. But women should be shamed and degraded for their role. They will never preach or lecture the boys like they do women/girls.....cause hey men/boys have rights, and sex is their absolute right without a care in the world, nothing more important to a man/boy than his junk!

Yeah, and the first labor pain would lay you out flatter than a rug.

If it is such a gift bestowed onto women why do you men and your religions want to interfere in the womans choice? Not much of a gift if manmade laws decide that she has to carry an unwanted pregnancy. How does she benefit being forced to carry and labor over an unwanted pregnancy? That is not a gift, it is a punishment and nothing more.

ALL contraceptive methods can and DO fail occasionally, and when they fail, UNWANTED pregnancies happen.

Pregnancy is NOT a "very special gift" to any girl or woman who never wanted pregnancy or children in the first place. If she doesn't WANT to "bring life into this world," that is entirely HER decision. Whether or not YOU approve of her decision to end an unwanted pregnancy is irrelevant. Motherhood is OPTIONAL, not required, even if a pregnancy happens.

Exactly, Morgana. I'm wondering what would happen if the wives and girlfriends of these conservative/religionist guys -- the ones who DON'T want to get pregnant, that is -- were to start practicing celibacy big time, by saying "NO!" every time they were pressured to have sex.

The guys would really have nothing to complain about would they, since they are the ones who keep telling women "if you don't want a baby, don't have sex." But when they DID complain, as they inevitably would in such a situation, the wife or girlfriend could tell them, "YOU're the one who keeps preaching for women to 'close their legs if they don't want to get pregnant.' I'm just helping YOU practice what you preach, dear." :-)

I'm wondering what this strike would be called; a sex strike, perhaps? What would the effect be if it went nationwide? lol

There's really no sense in me posting any more because you people are all thick headed. I've never once said that the woman is the only one to blame. The woman is infact the only one who can get pregnant! Yes a man should use a condom but if he doesn't the woman should insist he does or choose not to have sex with him. The percentages of failed condones or pregnancies do to rape are minimal. the fact is that an overwhming percentage is do to BOTH parties being irresponsible. There is no worry of you people on here getting pregnant though.

Unless the women are all being raped then they, the women are in full control over the sex act and the potential resulting pregnancy. Men used to be held accountable for getting a girl pregnant but now it is up to the woman to take care of herself. She doesn't need a man for that and she is free to enjoy casual sex as much as he. If a pregnancy results it was just a causualty of having fun. It ain't the fifties anymore.

Bullshit. Men are just as accountable for unwanted pregnancy as women. Stop trying to give them a free pass. Men were NEVER held accountable in the 50's, darling. They went on with their lives while the girls they knocked up got sent to convents and later have their own offspring passed off as their brothers and sisters, or sold off to the highest bidder. Girls were imprisoned and forced to give birth, while the guys that knocked them up went on without shame or abuse to live relatively healthy, happy lives.

Men were NEVER punished the way women were, and people are fighting tooth and nail to ensure that women are shamed for their sexuality, while cheering men on to f*ck everything in sight. You are part of the problem, not the solution. For every pregnancy, there is an erection and an erect penis has no conscience. Yes, women need to be encouraged to protect themselves, but not at the cost of shaming them for having natural desires of their own, while encouraging men to run out and stick everything in sight.

You can't nourish self-worth in females by treating them like dirty whores when they give into a guy they love and get dumped and pregnant, while at the same time patting the boys on the back for tomcatting around. Where are those boys, when the girls they claimed to love are put into pregnancy camps to be treated like broodmares, trying to raise a baby on their own with no diploma or trying to get past the frothing masses to obtain an abortion? I'll tell you where they are...in the back seat of some other chick's car doing their best to stick it in without a care in the world or anyone to so much as call them out for it.

Hypocritical, sexist hogwash.

Why wouldn't a man/boy wear a condom? Why is he REFUSING TO TAKE responsibility???

Why are men/boys having sex with women/girls who may not be on BC, shouldn't they refuse to have sex with them unless they are sure?? WHY are they SO irresponsible??

Why are they not preached and lectured to like women/girls?? Why are they not degraded and demeaned like women/girls for their sexuality?

Tough questions huh? Guess it best if you just take your thick headed thumb length johnson and leave the room.

And I am so sick of that attitude. The fact that women help perpetuate it really frustrates me, too.

"Hey, it was your fault for putting out, honey"

Meanwhile, Johnny whore knocks up five other women that get the same lecture, and the women that say "no" are dumped and labeled as cold bitches for giving him blue balls...while the kids he's already sired get NOTHING from him because he knows how to get past child support laws.

Another thing that I'm sick of hearing is the complaint that men are saddled with child support for kids they didn't want. The thing is, the custodial parent is entitled to child support, regardless of gender. That means women are just as bound by those laws as men. Not many men want to fight for custody, so they get stuck with child support instead of changing nappies, wiping noses, having their private time constantly interrupted, etc.

Most men would rather leave the child rearing up to the women, and then they complain when they're told they have to at least contribute to feeding and clothing them. I used to have sympathy for men when it came to that, and I still support a legal right for them to relinquish all parental rights and responsibilities within the same time frame that a woman can electively abort, but I think they should be required to have a rectal probe before they can make that decision in states that require rape by instrument before a woman can obtain an abortion. Fair is fair.

You know what Ink? I beginning to see why you are called a liar. I think you are either very young and naive or very old and feeble minded. I also believe you are prone to making up stories, or you have lived in an ivory tower and simply do not know much at all.

MEN were NEVER held accountable. My father was born in the early 20's, he told me stories how the boys would all claim to have had sex with a pregnant girl when only one actually did. That way the one responsible was off the hook. AND that was just ONE story my dad told me,

Blame abortion for men not taking responsibility for THEIR actions all you like, it falls on deaf ears and makes you look a fool. Like I said in an earlier post you seem to be quite mesmerized by men. I am sure many have appreciated you making excuses for them. I am sure they thanked you with every inch..........of their soul.

I knew many girls sent off to "pregnancy camp" prior to RvW mostly ran by the CC and have heard the horror stories.

Women like Ink are part of the problem. She probably hands out fcking ribbons to the boys along with a pat on the back.

It does take two to tango, and only one can gestate. Very true.
What should we do with this fact? Wish it away?
Berate, degrade and demean the men/boys like you would the woman/girl?

Have at it.

I totally agree, Morgana. Unfortunately, there are many anti-choice women like Ink and "SassyJM," whose mindsets are somewhere back in the 1950's...or possibly the 1850's where women and girls are concerned. These are the women who sell out the rest of us.

Yep Ocean, they are sheep, taught to go along with the religious status quo of yesteryear, women are to blame for the downfall and thus shall be ruled by men. AND whatever men do.....is just fine, they are the authority. How convenient for them, a nice tidy little package wrapped with a bow and handed to them by the likes of Ink and sAssy to prominent sellouts. Sad.

No, goofy, I just don't like ANTI-CHOICE women who sell out ALL women by doing their best to legislate their regressive beliefs into laws.

That is exactly what backward-thinking women like Ink and "SassyJM" want; more draconian laws that severely restrict women's access to both abortion and contraception, and to make both illegal if they could. THEY don't even like using contraception to PREVENT unwanted pregnancy, so they want to see women's access to that blocked as well.

Sure looks like a SELLOUT to me.
