I look forward to the day that this is not news. Women in leadership positions should be the norm, rather than the exception.

I think the "unique" part of this is that leadership is ALL women, versus women just being a part.

The world might be a better place if women ran it all.

It certainly couldn't be worse.

I am not from this good old town home but have lived here for many many years I am certainly proud to say that now the women can start to straighten up what the male gender has so eliquintly held hostage for so may years generations indeed but this small town is by no means out of the woods if they would all( yes that means everyone) would actually be a true community working together instead of trying to find fault every which way you turn, if they just put 25% effort on establishing communication instead of trying to oust the entire town into future poverty we might actually beable to get other business and future generations to move in rather than move away

dear in there the only reason Gray county is still ran by a man is because if you look at the history of the Panhandle of Texas it is literally atleast 20 years behind the rest of Texas and for that matter the rest of the USA but in all actuality if you want to debate tit for tat you should really look at the INDIVIDUAL that is in that position rather than the gender and the intelligence of the INDIVIDUAL not to banter about matters but to make an educated decision on what is best for all as a community and not as a county since you brought up the subject Mclean and Lefors and other small communities are subject to being the step child of Gray county as a whole we are the last to get help or financing for anything to do with roads, drug enforcement which I may say a large portion of the drug and monies that pass thru the panhandle that our very brave and underpaid law enforcement agents bust come from within I-40 which includes wheeler, gray counties begin and end but the monies go to the GENERAL FUND in PAMPA for gray county and most stays within that part of gray county. Pampa is very selfish as far as gray county and of course where in the ---- is the gray county constable well of course he is in Pampa and I can't resist this one but uh oh it's a man sorry I could not resist that dig what can I say have a great day

What rock are you living under? The BEST LAW ENFORCEMENT?????? I live in Gray County, and it is far far from the best. The little towns are sadly in need. We need a REAL man to come forth and run for sherrif. or WOman!!!

Mr. Cox, you indeed are a troll. Easier to BS, huh? Have you had a date lately, or a mother or sister to interact with??? My BS detector went off as soon as I read your posting. Lower paid? Well, in McLean, the mayor is paid the same whether male or female. I checked. The job is largely volunteer, and the $100 a month does not even cover time needed to sign necessary monthly paperwork , let alone all the time spent for phone calls, visits, problem solving, and pouring oil over troubled waters. If females are still lower paid than males, then whose fault it that? The males, of course, as females would never chose lower pay! Females are less competitive, as a rule, and wish to cooperate. This allows for actual work to be accomplished, rather than spending time posturing and posing and flexing waning testostrone levels. Females have an inate need to get along for the common good of all. Males have an inate need to stand out, be the star and hot dog it, regardless of the common good. Am I gay? Nope. I just appreciate strong women. They do not threaten me!!!

They say that you can't keep a good woman down. If so then the men just aren't trying hard enough.

And women don't "chose" lower pay. They settle for it.
They just need try harder! I once read that women, on average, make 64 cents for every dollar that a man makes. Well, women should be proud that they're doing so well! I just hope that they don't get uppity now.

That day has been here for years. Women have always ruled the home and the man. Women tell men what to do before they leave for work or meetings!
