Tax organized religion... If this plan were to happen income tax would be a thing of the past as in zero for all..Across this country it would be balanced overnight.. Our churches have been working the American people for far too long now..What a super front it all is so pass the plate and pay up... I grew up in the church.. I'm a member of a church .. I've worked in the office of a church..... so I know... TAX ORGANIZED RELIGION and your problems are over.

I have a good friend who happens to be a Quad in a wheelchair.
She is in constant pain, and needs a careworker 24-7. Life has dealt her some harsh blows, and yet she tries to keep a sense of humor. Her response to the 'cuts'? "Gee, I was wondering what to do with that extra 7 dollars I have at the end of the month! Guess I'll buy lottery tickets!" These are not 'cuts'. These are RAPES! Thank God the yacht owners are safe.......... |

Cost of Living Adjustments (COLAs) seem not to be considered in the budget for the schools. Others are not getting COLAs, so why couldn't they just not allow COLAs across the board?
Oh, too late, our State Representatives already accepted the COLAs in their pay. Also, instead of keeping the State Parks open, why not reduce services. Allow volunteers to provide more that are at many of the parks year to year - Most of th volunteers are responsible individuals and don't need baby-sitters,just minimum support. Human Service funding is going to be the hardest hit. Though it may force some to get closer to their families and more responsibility taken. Move away from the "Entitlement Mentality" and work through these difficult times by participating more with friends and family. Sometimes, our society has lost the meaning of family and friends Entitlements Programs has separated many from their loved ones' support. Before you jump on me, this is not all of society, but a large part of it. If you take a step back from your own world and look around, you can see this. |

Mike you really should look at history. Time after time the Republicans are the cause of major financial crisis. The spend so much into the military industrial complex and special interests that it takes decades to climb out of the hole.

To our duly elected representatives:
Let’s make it easy on ourselves, shall we? Increase the alcohol beverage tax by 5 %. Explain to the liquor, beer and restaurant lobbies that the social cost of maintaining court proceedings and prison terms for drunk driving related manslaughter and intoxicated domestic violence manslaughter has gone past the incidental stage where productive members of society are willing to support it with their tax dollars. Take it to a public vote if necessary. This should somewhat ease the societal cost burden of dealing with those incarcerated from an early release from the penal system. Call it the Cody Baker Alcohol Tax. Temporarily increase the cost of a lottery ticket to $2 dollars and offer a bonus smaller prize, with better odds of winning, as an adjunct to the standard main prize. This was done about a decade ago, sans the additional fee, where a lower dollar amount prize was offered at better odds for all drawn winning numbers except for the mega. Such a temporary increase is justifiable by the State were it to explain to the populace that it is utilizing the vice of gambling to bring the health care system up to par. Implementing the aforementioned would, more than likely, free up funds to maintain the educational system on par with 21st Century goals. Work the problem people. |

The lottery is a tax on the poor & stupid who actually think they are going to win.

True, and that being the case, it is at least one reason why such a tax should be earmarked for health care so as to keep that priority from dipping into educational funds : it might be too late in the day to assist the enlightenment of current day lottery taxpayers but perhaps not too late to educate their children ? Better this way than continued donations from our paychecks, yes ? We already work, approximately, two-and-a-half days for free : I think it is time to draw the line. |

Dude, you are seamingly clueless as to the original cause of all of this! Remember Governor DAVIS? You know the one that got fired from the job being the GOVERNOR? |
Correction - Recalled not fired! And the only reason he got recalled is so that I can get $4 back on my DMV fees. Something that was out of his hands because it was written into law. |

Tax Parents that have more than child. Let parents pay for their children's education. How about getting rid of the child tax credit, put that revenue toward education.
Stop educating the children of illegal aliens |
