I have just been diagnosed with two basal cell carcinoma's and a pre-cancerous area on my nose. I am being referred for an veal for Aldera versus Moh's. Due to my age 39, and the fact that I have more than 1, my dermatologist thinks a 6wk course of Aldera may be the best option. I would apply it on my nose and cheeks.

I am a R.N. and specialize is pediatric oncology. I am worried about working during theta tent if there are systemic and immune side effects. There are many viruses cancer patients get due to being immune compromised. If Aldera will make me immune compromised, I am worried about contracting these viruses at work. Also, if I will be having blisters on my face, I am worried about scaring my child patients. I also have to wear isolation and chemotherapy masks.

Has anyone had to not work during a 6 wk course? Has anyone been able to work in healthcare without a problem? Please share your thoughts.

Mandi have been in contact with Roni, seems like you are at last being cared for properly am so happy. I am really worried about you. My symptoms and stuff are not the half of what you and Richard are going to. Can't we start with doing a petition or something. Xxxx

Thanks Michele. I think anything that will bring the truth put into the open is a gr8 thing. Getting the story into the international media would bring light to our plight. People don't know what is happening. The suffering , the fact Aldara is still freely prescribed... U can grab it off the internet no probs. We need to tell the world what has happened.
When Roni came to see me the first time I was in the throes of a " crash". This is when All the symptoms hit me hard and the pain is excruciating. I sometimes wonder what it looks like to others... I suspect it is very frightening. Roni might write about the " crash" here. It is useful for others to experience in words. How bad it is. Let's see. I am aware during these acute phases, that I am indeed experiencing hell in all it's wrath and power.
Hang in there, no 2 moments r the same. All my love

Hi Guys
When I first went to visit Mandi (during her crash) she was screaming, wimpering and writhing with pain - her bed sheets looked knotted. I only put my head in the room for a second and backed out quickly. It was pretty scary and freaked me out. I left in tears after seeing the nurses with shock on their faces. I popped in to some friends who lived nearby and had a good cry about it when I described what I had just witnessed. When I returned a couple of hours later Mandi looked a lot better and we spent a couple of hours chatting until she fell asleep.
Mandi - I'm hoping to pop in again late tomorrow morning if you're still there. Pls text me if you're going home.

Roni I am really really worried about mandi. That pain seems absolutely excruciating. I only had the joint muscle pain twice and I was shocked at how the body was reacting, so if that was anything to go by and she has that every day, I know that one could never function as a healthy human. Roni have you had that whole body pain thing, must say mine has mostly been respiratory and not been able to breath, I think a bit like you and the asthma symptoms. I had a good day on Friday almost felt normal and the whole of Saturday, but Saturday night sore throat back and started feeling odd again. I have had a sore throat every day now since this has happened. When they look down the throat say they can't see anything. Xxxxx and hugs to you both mandi and Roni

Hi Michele
Yes I have but not like Mandi's. Mine has been more external - hips, chest, back, shoulders mainly - like knives, even if I didn't move. The anti-inflamatories kept me going (I was on double the maximum dose - 2 a day - a few months ago). I've been using herbs to heal my gut, as well as slippery elm. It's a slow process. The fish oil over the last week has been amazing. I take double the maximum dose (2 teaspoons a day) of 'Ethical Nutrients' hi-strength liquid fish oil (should get a commission for this adv). I'm now taking 1/2 of 1 anti-inflamatory a day and the pain is a dull ache on occasion - no problem at all. The asthma is mild anyway unless I get a cold. Things are good for me at the moment. I have not had a sore throat related to this.
Best of luck with finding palliative treatments to keep going.

I have been using Aldara cream for 2 1/2 weeks now twice a week for pre cancerous marks on my chest and yes i had read about all the side effects before trying it but what I would like to know is...How long does it take for all of this burning and itching and scabbing to go away???its driving me nuts and I have a perscription for 2 months of usage. I am just waondering what hapens after you stop? How long till all of this clears up?
Brenda, I used Aldara about 4 or 5 years ago. It was prescribed for Basal cells on my chest and fore arm. It took several days to really start working. Pussing and bleeding with some pain. I stopped after about 10 days and gave it a weeks rest. I started back up, and after just around 6 days, there was no more effect on my chest and arm. I was pleased with the results.
I have had a site on my back right shoulder that had been active for more than 10 years. I usually would get some acne on the outer edge and would turn into another basal cell. It just kept getting larger and larger over time. Even though I wasn't being treated on that area at that time, I decided on my own to try the Aldara on the entire area.
It drew so much puss from that area. I treated it at the same time as the other 2 spots. I finished my 10 day treatment and paused again for a week. I treated it a 3rd time and it finally finished up. I have not had any more in that area since.- AMAZING !!! I told my Dermatologist on my next scheduled visit. He was truely pleased with the results too. Five years later, I am still doing well in that area.

the doctor told me not to use it anywhere on the face. Dont know why they would put it on eyes or nose. As far as i know, it burns away the cancer. Dont know how long it takes tho. Doc told me, use every 2nd day. Cost me $140 for 2 tubes. The sores seem to fester up but they do when you freeze them. I dont know how long to use it. But no symptons yet. If gets itchy doesnt that mean " healing ".

The puss and crusting is completely normal and makes sense it's the other shit you don't want. Do it at own peril, anybody who touches this cream after knowing what it can do is completely mad. You do know that it is an immune MODIFIER it modifies your immune system very dangous indeed. It messes with you cytokines which are in complete harmony and that's that, if you do have a reaction like most of us on this site have had, it could change your immune system forna long time, maybe you will never get it back. Have you seen their is a site where Anglo American gold gives funding to Aldara injured parties for lawyer and magical funds, well that would not be happening for nothing. They even supply a lawyer for you. Also huge case in America at the mo with FDA to get the shit off the market. Very scary indeed have you visited all the sites if you looknyou will find lots. This is for ALWYN and MIKE. Just have the things taken of with liquid nitrogen. This is now the 9th week after ALDRAMA that's my new name for this poison and I am still sick. UP TO U, USE IT OR NOT

Roni spoke to my Prof yesterday and said I should go to this homeopath in 2 weeks if I am still feeling shit. Said detox with milk thistle to carry on with this and then do a vitamin C IV with a antioxidant concoction which could also maybe flush the shit out of your system. Hope you are still feeling a little better

I said I would not let myself get involved again with trying to talk people away from using aldara because it doesn't seem to sink in until the ill health sets in on them personally. But, I hope you are not using aldara for melanoma's because if you are you are in more trouble than anyone else on this forum. And if you are not and are using it on BCC's or Ak's on the face just note that you have been warned 100's of times on this forum what can happen to you and please, please, do not report back on here if things go bad for you because you have had the perfect chance to prevent yourself from being harmed and did not listen. Good luck! You'll need it!

Thanks Michele, I've been taking the milk thistle since you last mentioned it as well as the fish oil (and Vitamin C which is also important as your Prof says - I'd better be more regular with that though). For the first time in 2 years I'm feeling pretty good. I went to a homeopath but he couldn't help because I hadn't stabilised. I'll try again when I return from my trip.
