I am straight up begging you to NOT use this medicine on your daughter. I was treated with Aldara intravaginally, and its nearly destroyed my life. The pain was unbearable, and the long term side effects have been life altering for me. Please dont take that chance. I suffer daily from the exposure to Aldara.

Aldara is a dangerous drug and should not be used under any circumstances. Use Cansema from Alpha Omega Labs:

http://www.altcancer.com/

Here too be very careful not to get the salve near or in the eyes and if treating cancer on the nose, only treat a very small area at a time, then, when the treated has healed up, treat another small area. If one treats a large area on one's nose at once, one risks losing one's nose.

Does anyone have a name of a lawyer. My husband has passed away and I do believe it is because of this drug. I have spoken to someone and they thought there is a lawyer working on this case in Minnesota.
Thank you and I appreciate your help.

. Hi Mary Jo,
So sorry to hear about your husband. What were his medical problems before he passed, and how long after he used the drug did he pass?

I've been using tha Aldara cream for 2 weeks for a spot between my lip and nose. Today I have developed 3 fever blisters inside my bottom lip. The place between my lip and nose is inflamed. I quit using this cream today because of the developing fever blisters. I have never had fever blisters in my life. I don't know if this was worth all of this.

There have been 16 deaths attributed to Aldara or imiquimod products. This is the number the FDA agreed actually were caused by the drug. Many more exist of course. But at least we are making progress to expose this drug for what it is. Of course, many many more deaths have to occur before anything is actually done by the FDA. You see, the fact is that before a drug can be ruled harmful, serious numbers of people have to die. Then these officials will sit around a table and ask the Pharma of the drug what they think? First round has already occurred at the figure of 16. Obviously, that number is not large enough for the FDA to take action. So, here we are on the second round of deaths. When that number, what ever it may be, becomes large enough the FDA will call another meeting with the Pharma and there might be if lucky a black box warning which is basically a slap on the hand. The FDA tells the Pharma to go back to work and keep them posted on further issues as they collect them. This goes on and on until hundreds of deaths have occurred. Then it's time for the FDA to step in as though all of this prior history of deaths simply took place last week. To the public, the FDA acts as though it is shocked beyond belief that this drug suddenly has become so dangerous. They take another few months for evaluation of the problem, this while more people risk being killed by the drug. But that's ok, patients are expendable or else there would have been action taken back at 16 deaths. So, do you all get the picture? This is how the system is desiged to work and it works flawlessly, in favor of big pharma.

Have used Aldara for 5 weeks to treat a BCC at the bottom of the throat, very messy but put vit E cream at the end of the treatment on the wound and got no scar. A Bcc appeared on my cheek and started a treatment with Aldara, but after 2 weeks the blisters are so big that I have stopped the application.
I was wondering why I had no energy and felt weak; reading all the comments I am having second thoughts about using Aldara.

HELLO
BACK IN MAY OF 2011 I WAS ON MY LAST WEEK OF USING ZYCLARA?ALDARA AND CAME DOWN WITH FLU SYMPTOMS, STIFF NECK, COULDN'T STOP COUGHING,INSANE HEADACHE, AND KIDNEY FAILURE. I DIDN'T EAT FOR ALMOST 6 DAYS. ENDED UP IN EMERGENCY. THIS WAS MY SECOND TIME I HAD USED THIS DRUG AND HAD COMPLAINED TO MY DOCTOR AT THE END OF THE FIRST ROUND THAT I HAD REALLY BAD FLU SYMPTOMS WHEN TAKING IT. KNOWING THIS I IMMEDIATELY PUT ME BACK ON ANOTHER ROUND FOR A DIFFERENT AK AND TOLD ME THAT FLU SYMPTOMS WERE A NORMAL REACTION TO DRUG AND THAT IT WAS VERY SAFE. WELL THE SECOND TIME AROUND ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE AND I ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL FOR ALMOST 2 WEEKS WITH KIDNEY FAILURE AND DRUG INDUCED LUPUS. SINCE THAT DAY MY HEALTH HAS DECLINED ..A WEEK LATER AFTER GETTING OUT OF THE HOSPITAL I CAME DOWN WITH TRANSVERSE MYELITIS. THEN I GOT LEG WEAKNESS AND DROPFOOT. I HAVE BEEN ENDLESSLY GOING TO DOCTORS EVERY WEEK SINCE THEN TRYING TO GET A FIRM DIAGNOSIS BEFORE I END UP IN A WHEELCHAIR WHICH COULD BE ANY DAY. SO FAR AFTER A SPINAL TAP AND EMG'S AND MRI'S ON MY SPINE AND BRAIN AND EVERY BLOOD TEST ONE CAN IMAGINE. THEY HAVE DIAGNOSED ME WITH HAVING ALMOST EVERY AUTOIMMMUNE DISEASE IMAGINABLE. CNS LUPUS, APS,LYME AND NOW MS WITH RAPID PROGRESSION. I HAVE SPENT ALMOST $500,000 ON MEDICAL BILLS SO FAR. I WAS IN PERFECT HEALTH FOR 57 YEARS UP UNTIL THE LAST WEEK OF USING IMMIQUIOMOD CREAM. THE DOCTORS ARE CONVINCED THAT BY USING THIS DRUG IT TRIGGERED A AUTOMIMMUNE RESPONSE , ONE THAT IS IRREVERSIBLE WHEN STOPPING THE DRUG. MY IMMUNE SYSTEM DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO GO BACK. I WAS ONE THAT HAD A EXTREMELY STRONG IMMUNE SYSTEM OVER THE YEARS, NEVER EVEN GOT A COLD EVER. I NOW KNOW THAT THIS DRUG CAN DAMAGE PEOPLE LIKE ME THE MOST. MY DERMATOLOGIST GUARANTEED ME THAT THE DRUG WAS SAFE. NEVER HAD AN Y COMPLAINTS. HE NEVER ASKED IF I HAD ANY AUTOIMMUNTIES IN MY MEDICAL HISTORY WHICH IF HE HAD I WOULD OF SAID NO. MAYBE I DID AND NEVER KNEW IT. MAYBE I HAD LUPUS OR MS FOR YEARS AND IT WAS DORMANT UNTIL THE DAY I TOOK THIS DRUG. MY LIFE IS PRETTY MUCH OVER I CANT EVEN LEAVE THE HOUSE ANYMORE. I CANT WORK ANY LONGER SINCE I CAN BARELY WALK. CONSTANT TREMORS. WHY HASN'T ANYONE SUED 3 M? I KNOW ABOUT RICHARD BEASLEYS SUIT BUT HAVE NEVER HEARD OF ANYONE ELSE GOING AFTER 3M. I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT RICHARD BEING THAT HE WAS WORKING ON A CLASS ACTION SUIT WITH SOME ATTORNEY IN TEXAS WHICH HE WOULDN'T GIVE ME THE NAME OF. RICHARD NO LONGER ANSWERS MY EMAILS. IS HE OKAY? HAS ANYONE HEARD FROM HIM? PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS I WANT TO MOVE FORWARD ON THIS BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE AND I AM DEAD.
THANKS

Thank you everyone for putting this all on-line. I have been searching for answers since last October (2011). My dermatologist gave me Aldara (2 lots of 3 weeks) between May and September 2011. He knew I had an auto-immune disease. Looking at the dates of the above posts (going back to 2008) I now realize that he must have known - yet I trusted him. I feel so upset. I've been in so much pain. It dramatically increased. Instead of taking 1 NSAID a week, I was on 2 a day and still in pain. My symptoms are headaches, blood noses, massive inflammation everywhere, tinitis, fatigue, muscle aches, photo-sensitivity and am often a bit fuzzy and light headed. Before I was very active - cycling, gym, mountain climbing, dancing and heaps of walking and gardening. I've had to stop nearly everything.
It's been 4 years since the last post above. Has anyone found a way to reverse these effects yet? Please let me know if you have.
And Sandi - no need to be defensive about this - what happens happens - arguing against it doesn't change the facts.

I was just perscribed this yesterday from my dermatologist. She cut as much as she could of a black lesion that is squamous cell carcinoma. I am told to use this 5 x/week ( Monday thru Friday) for 6 weeks.....

The areas being treated are in a highly sensitive spot in the pubic area....I have about 8 to 10 lesions. Is it worth trying this cream or is it hell?

Please go to aldara1.com site and read on that site what has happened. We are all in the same boat. And as well as having our lives taken from us, the traditional medical Dr's treat us like scum. So often accusing us of making up the incredibly horrendous symptoms that we have.
Please hang in there. As much as you are living in desperate pain, you have to live for the life that you do have left, and if we all start to kill ourselves, because we can no longer handle the pain, Abuse, and the huge disabilities we are left with. The demise of our physical, social, emotional and financial lives, has already happened. Please just hang tough. All of us think of this way out. I do every winter....the cold makes me much worse. But I am stopped because of my family, who have fought alongside me for the last 10 years, My DR...for the same reasons, and the friends that have become incredibly loyal to me.
At some point the Medical community will be TOLD, what they have done to all of us...thousands of us. And hopefully things will improve.
You are always welcome to chat to me or anyone else in the same situation. You will allow 3m to win if you give up...one less person to make them accountable to what they have done...they must pay for our tortured lives...they must pay.
Lots of prayers for you...just hold tight.
Lots of Love to everyone who is suffering so silently, and with such bravery. You are the people in this world, that make the world a better place to live.
I am also in the process of fixing my aldara problem.
Used the product based on my 9 year, 3 times a year visit to the dermatologist, twice. I am now looking at plastic surgery to fix the hole in my face. One dermatologist wont work on the area because removal may effect my facial muscles. I wish I looked on the internet before using aldara. I also would have opted for surgery back then if I had known what I know now. Seeing someone this week. Hopefully it works out.

I have BCC. Went last week to dermatologist. He froze 4 spots on my chest, but one out on back and sent for biopsy. Gave me Adara to use 3 times a week for a month on 4 spots on my arms, 3 on my legs, two on my chest for now. My chest looks TERRIBLE! The two small spots and now bad and the redness and skin leasons are all over my chest. It hurts, burns, itches, stings and I started feeling bad. Can't let anything touch it or it really hurts and itches. Dreading using it tonight... use it Monday, Wed & Friday. Any suggestions? After reading all of your comments, i'm really scared to continue this med.

Thank you!

Hello...
Living in California all my life and being a sun baby, I finally got skin cancer on my face. The doctor prescribed Aldara cream for 6 weeks Monday thru Friday and weekends off. It brough out several little pre cancerous legions on my face and chest but what I did not expect was the painful, swollen, bloody lips. Apparently, even though I did not apply it directly to my lips, the cream brough out the pre cancer on both top and bottom lips. Very painful. Very swollen, bloody and burning. After 4 weeks I was told to stop and that the doctor was "satisfied" with my results. I was starting to feel the other effects of the drug by the end of treatment, nasia, fatigue, flu like symptoms. Becareful if you are being treated. Know your limits....

Hi...the only other thing you can do it stop the treatment. They should have given you another cream to put on to stop the reaction. My cream was called Triamcinolone.
