Stop spreading rumors. No one said they were involved. It was posted as a question. was like just a coincidence in the zeet Ponzi scheme being shut down when they went missing.

your question is what would start a rumor. You should have never even posted such a question! Why would you even wonder the worse at the expense of someone's tragedy?

They cleared out their bank accounts so that is highly suspicious dont you think. they left the employees and patients high and dry. Something fishy was going on but yur right you cant speculate and just wait for the atopsy and drug tests.

The only ones reporting about the bank accounts is the McDowell News. They said that a couple in Old Fort had heard the bank accounts had been emptied. Nobody else said a word about the bank accounts besides that law enforcement put a freeze on the accounts. That was crappy of McDowell News to report that without a reliable source. As far as them shutting down, Dr. Cargile is the sole owner of the practice and by law they aren't allowed to run it without her.

The crappy mcdowell news also made a huge deal about a lawsuit ack in 2006 for a patient dying with a heart attack. This has nothing to do with two people being dead in a hotel room- doctors have to have malpractice insurance because patients sue. That was settled a while back and would have been covered by their malpractice. yet the reporter made it the centerpiece of his poorly written story.

The actual North Carolina Medical Board letter is available online; it was a bit more than a malpractice suit. The malpractice suit is common, yes, but the state determined that Dr. Cargile did not properly supervise her Physician Assistant and they added what is the equivalent of a public notice to her license. If any other similar complaints arise, the previous suit can be considered in regards to her license.

I hadn't read that article until now that you mentioned it. Wow! It even says at the bottom that the malpractice payment was made to them in 2010 so I see no need for them to be reporting that now. McDowell News is really feeding the rumor mill with these articles.

Neighbors of Dr. Leslie and William Cargile in Henderson County described the couple as "nice, normal, everyday kind of neighbors." The Cargiles were found dead in a Galveston, Texas hotel room Friday. They had been missing since Monday when "Leslie didn't show up to see patients at her Black Mountain medical clinic. Galveston investigators said Saturday there "did not appear to be any gunshot wounds or stab wounds" to either body, however, detectives wouldn't comment on reports of various types of medication found in their hotel. A spokesman for the Galveston Medical Examiner's Office said foul play is not suspected. One of the couple's sons at the family home Saturday declined to comment. Another son is said to be out of the country on a business trip. Preliminary autopsy results are expected to be released early next week."

The authorities froze the accounts so they could be alerted to anyone trying to draw funds. Nothing suspicious there. Just people trying to make more out of a tragedy than is really there.

Dr Cargile was more caring and concerned for each patient than any doctor I've ever known. That in itself speaks to her character. She would never knowingly do something wrong. It would just be out of character.

Dr. Cargile was an incredible person. Kind, warm, I wish we had more doctors like her. She will be missed.

The why of it bothers me- what would lead anyone to such a drastic end? It seems (speculation here) strange that the NP left 6 weeks before, they had hired an office manager 2 weeks before, they had had a new doctor to start the week after and another to start in October. Patients who saw her in the weeks before describe her as older, tired. The office staff seemed to know something was going on because they started having patient sign for records so soon. Like they new something really final had happened. What they did was obviously planned. There's no way a doctor would go that far on a Sunday when she had patients at 8:00 monday morning.

Thoughts? anyone?

"I live in the community where this doctor worked. I learned today from someone who knows a staff member at Cargile's office that when the staff arrived at the office on Monday morning following the weekend the Cargile's left home and headed to Mobile, that they discovered the doctor had CLEARED OUT ALL HER PERSONAL BELONGINGS. That was apparently what tipped off the staff that she was abandoning her practice and had no intention of coming back. That would explain why the practice was shut down so quickly. The person who shared this information with me did not know if the doctor's behavior in the weeks leading up to her disappearance had become strange, erratic, or in any way indicative that something was amiss. information from websleuths....

1."Saw my friend tonight who worked for the dr. for years. The staff didn't check the dr.'s private office until Tuesday and discovered that all of her personal belongings were gone. They also checked Mr. Cargile's office and discovered that his personal belongings were gone, too. When the police did a walk through of the couple's home, they discovered that the things from the offices were in their home. My friend says "no way" in regard to the doctor being terminally ill. She described the husband as being a good guy but a bit eccentric. The staff concluded that they had just taken off after not hearing from the dr. and given the fact that the personal belongings had been removed but had no idea why they would do such a thing because it would have been totally out of character for either of them."

2. In Allen's biography he calls himself an experienced financial analyst. 18% return on your investment, really. http://www.landexploration.com/index.php

"Maybe they were involved in this. Maybe that is why they they left town the next day, because they knew they would be going to prison... Instead they commuted suicide!!!"

DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY LINKS BETWEEN THE CARGILES AND ZEEKS REWARDS OR REX VENTURE GROUP (LOCATED LEXINGTON NC) OR PAUL BURKS?

definitely hope allen's businesses are investigated. Dr. Cargile was a bit nutty and difficult. Don't just take my word - for evidence look at the horrible retention for PAs/NP - no one stays for long. You can look up the list on the medical board web site. She also had hired a MD a few years back - Thomason or Thompson and she quickly left. Something funny was going on in that practice.

FamilyCare Home, the former practice of Dr. Leslie Cargile will reopen in Black Mountain and Old Fort under Dr. Drew Schnyder, he said Tuesday.

The move to restart the former practices which served 25,000 to 30,000 patients over nearly 30 years was made in accordance to the wishes of the sons of Cargile and her late husband William Allen Jr., Schnyder said.
