Bush fails to win Saudi help on gas prices

“How much does Saudi Arabia need to do to satisfy people who are questioning our oil practices and policies?”

President Bush failed to win the help he sought from Saudi Arabia to relieve skyrocketing American gas prices Friday, a setback for the former Texas oilman who took office predicting he would jawbone oil-producing nations to help the U.S.

Bush got a red-carpet welcome to this desert kingdom, home to the world's largest oil reserves, and promised to ask King Abdullah to increase production to reduce pressure on prices, which soared past $127 for the first time Friday. But Saudi officials said they already were meeting the needs of their customers worldwide and there was no need to pump more. Read more

Another example of Bush's fine diplomacy. He can't even bargain with his buddy, the Saudi King! Even a double kiss on the King's cheeks wasn't enough for Goober to convince him. And he has the audacity to critize Obama for his ideas about dialogue and diplomacy? Please!

Perhaps come fall we should all make a commitment to oust ALL current elected U.S. officials (one vote at a time!)...not that the opponents are any better,BUT, it would definitely send the message that they work for the PEOPLE...NOT big business...Just a thought...!

POLITICIANS

Most of the time as a politician stands up
Along with the truth, their brain sits down.
Promising anything and everything to anyone
While posing to the public, to be on common ground.

The higher the office the greater the corruption
As candidates compete for those dead presidents of green.
While we're taxed to death to fund their pork
Our cost for everything has become obscene.

Thank God there are some better than most
Not squeaky clean, but more honest than others.
Regardless of party, they deserve our vote
For they share our thoughts like sisters and brothers.

Politicians who wish to be revered by history
Must earn their fame by living the truth.
Any who continue to mislead and deceive
Must be shunned by the voter at the booth.

MONEY

Since ancient times man has had a need for barter
Which is a French word that means to exchange or trade.
Before we relied on paper or metal coins
Arrangements for food, clothing and shelter were made.

As man developed, there was more to be exchanged
And one of the earliest forms of cash was cattle.
He who owned the most livestock was the richest man
Purchasing slaves, solders and weapons for battle.

Paper has been used since the tenth century A.D.
Because it was easier to carry than coin.
Used by every civilized country in the world
As their economies merged and joined.

Some say that money is the root of all evil.
Though the substance of evil is none other than man.
It's not money that causes most of what's wrong
But the ignorance of man, and his misguided hand.

Who better serves Osama's cause.
Think it through.
a person whose name buries the name of
Usama Bin Laden
a person who is unable to explain the
Shia versus Sunni difference.

the current McSame who is viewed as difficent
at all levels

the downward spiral of the US and the effect
it has on our few friends / communists.

Barak, a real uniter, is the last one that such
an enemy would wish to see positioned. A colored
person who would excite the world's people and one who represents 85% of people of our planet.
What an opportunity presents itself.

Just say you're rooting for an opposite effect.
Those wishing to see someone other than Barak
Hussein Obama: like Hamas, Hesbollah, Iran and yes even friend Israel who gains all attention when
and most especially at election time - it sickenly
about the zionists cause, that occupies most of
the gandy dancing performances that our candidates are obliged to engage in.
We their slaves had better keep our mouths shut.

Barak needs to show a little bit more fire. I know the fine line that he needs
to tread.
Being incapable of diplomacy the McSames (Bushy/Whistler he he he'er).
Barak needs to cite their inability: that Bushy's solidarity speech within
the US of Israel and the chutzpah of then going to the Saudis begging for oil
took the cake.
Barak needs to emphasise Bush/McSame time and time they are totally
joined at the hip in service to and abetted with Lieberman's guile. Again
knowing the tightrope walking required.

Here again if Barak has to counter every time he'll be called the crybaby.
Those friends of yore joined forces with the downtrodden /abused but
had hidden agendas that served them well but now we know were their
true interests lie. Sweet land of fools.

FORMIDABLE FOE

America is the birthday cake of earth
As the ants march from every direction.
Thank God for all who have sworn to defend her
Serving with love, honor, pride, and affection.

Since the first day George Washington marched off to war
There have been those who have wished our demise.
Their hatred, fueled by jealousy and greed
Was defeated by our brave and the wise.

Once again, we must face a formidable foe
Who have pledged by their God to destroy us all
Misusing their faith as an excuse to kill
As for a worldwide jihad, their leaders call.

Some say we should try to appease them
For if we resist, they’ll hate us even more.
But the David's among us shall cast our stones
Defeating them, as it was done before.
