People that think people have no civil rights after they serve their time should be convicted of not obeying the laws of our constitution. People like you that think sex offenders must be punished forever are sicker tha the worst offender of any type!

How long do you think a sex offender must suffer your punnishment,,, forever? Thats crazy! All these sex offernders are lumped together and most are not violent and all of them are the sons and daughters of mothers and fathers and brothers and sisters of other family members that suffer right alog with them. You would not beleave the horrible hardships we suffer! We know and love these sex offenders, we grew up with them, they love us too.
They deserve our support, they have served their time. They deserve a chance to show us they are like us, if we can't do that, what type of example are we setting them? What is our message to them. If it is revenge and punnishment we will suffer!

Molest my kids or rpe y wifeand I'll teach civil rights to you. Violent rapists, pedohiles, and statutry rape cases where the raper is male and the victim 6-years or more yonger should get the death penalty.

Donny Brook - you are right in your statements about those that rape and hurt little kids - we all agree with you. Those are very few in the system of convicted sex offenders. The majority are teenagers that can't wait to have sex and most of time when they find someone to have sex with are usually over the age of 18 (still teenager) but now they have the tag for LIFE of sex offender. Think of it as a scarlet letter stamped on your forehead. These guys (and women) that are old enough to know what is right or wrong are many times merely "bad judgement calls"
that happen ONCE but follow them FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES.

I was convicted in 1994 for a sexual offense in il an wi stemming from same incident. I registered for 10 years did my 5 years probation. And thought it was over. I own a company now had employees pulled over for being in a park. My ncic clearly states do not arrest ir detain. The officer felt it his obligation to share confidential police info with my employees, search vehicle, search employees. He told them You work for a sexual predator. I was 15 when started dating this girl she was 13 we dated 4 years her parents allowed her to go out if state from Wi to Il with me. They were ok with us UNTIL she got pregnant they sent her out if state for a late term abortion. We were not allowed to see each ither anymore we were young and thought in love. When I was 2015 the police showed up at my home to question me about my oast relationship with this girl I told them all about it thinking I did nothing wrong. I was convicted later solely in my statements in both states . If I would have said nothing this would not have happened Im still being harassed. The word predator is what gets me I'm a father now my children get flak my employees my wife btw is 1 month younger than so called victim we all went to high school together. I will file complaint against him today but will do little

Hey u guys r right about people runing around raping women, and abusing kids need to be on a list for people to be aware. However when that information is use to stop someone to change and become a better person in socity, its become a road blocker and not a crime stopper tool. We as a people always need somewhere to point the finger. Because no one wants to focus on them self. U want people to stop doing crazy things, and become better people? Well we need to make room for it and not block it all up with excuses on why how we as a peolpe can't help one another. If u are a person that know a person with a sex offense background. Help them get a job, talk for them to people. If not then stay out of the way of progress for these people struggling.

And another thing.... those sex offenders that are running around raping people, sexually molsting kids, and getting away wit it need to be in jail or killed because its sick and the people need to know who these people are. However not everyone on that list is like that.

There is no coalition in reality, because I myself am a convicted sex offender, When I was 18...I unknowingly dated someone whom was underage. I am not a threat to society or any children, it was simply a teenage mistake, convicted as an adult because I had turned 18.
The issue is that all offenders are treated as scum, like we hunt children to please ourselves and that is far from the truth. Awareness is one thing for both non convicted civilians whom are worried and those like me who are parents ourselves but looked at like the harsher felons, but laws need to impliment the lack of class against those whom are not hardcore or repeat offenders, but the government is not doing this.
That is the reason why many of these laws are unjust, they are not seperating the levels as they were suppose to. And the more they push, the more we will stick together for our rights...even the ACLU is saying the laws are getting unfair and are un-lawful, if they do not change...it will get worse for both sides.
Exactly how much underage was she? If she was 16-YO that is one thing, but if she was =<15,you're guilty in my opinion.

You want to quote the statistics from the FBI on recidivisim for sex offenders. Pedophilia is non-curable and they prove it daily. Violent rapists will not quit, because it is not about sex, it's about control and they'll rape whatever is available and who might put up a fight . Okay, call me a name and tell me I'm wrong and in a way I am, because a double tap with a .357 usually rehabs these worms.

I take full responsibility for my crime. I was 21 I had sex with a 15 year old a month from turning 16. I was in college I played 2 sports I was about to get my bachelors. I was a very popular jock. This girl looked 20. But to be honest. I knew she wasn't. She wanted to have sex asked practically begged. But to be honest I knew it wasn't right. I made a poor decision. Everyday I suffer. I served my time. I did all the classes probation etc. it's now 14 years later. My life has been alot of would of or could of. I believe I deserved what I got. I believe most of these laws protect children that cannot protect themselves. I am one of the few sex offenders concerned with THERE rights. The victims. My life would of been totally different if I didn't make this mistake. I have never had sex with any minor before that and have not in 14 more years. I have no attraction or desire towards children. Only my own that I love dearly as a father. I honestly wish young people could read these posts. So they could understand the consequences of this and maybe avoid the same fate. The lifelong pain humiliation. I feel like my lifelong sentence may not be fair. But I also believe some of if not all sex crimes have a life long effect in the victim. So what's really fair. I committed a crime at the time I didn't realize how it would effect my life I was 21. Years later I just wish I was more aware of what my consequences would be for something that at the time I didn't think was so so bad. My greatest gift would be to inform people of what they risk when they are in a position to commit or not commit a sex crime. If they only knew the consequences.

This is a false statement. This is the rule not the exception. Stranger danger is the exception, not the rule. The majority of all sex offenders are not Pedophiles but properly referred to as a Bohemaphile. A pedophile is someone who who has strong sexual desire for small preadolescence children. There is no excuse for this. But Bohemaphile is an adult who has a sexual desire for children 15-19... but here is the problem with that definition, at least 35% of sex offenders are between the ages of 18-19 who have had sexual relations with someone between 15-17. So how is an 18 or 19 year old who has sex with a 15-17 year old whom they go to the same school with considered a bohemaphile? What about the 16 year old male who receives a phone picture of his 16 year old girlfriend and gets charged with trafficking child pornography? These are the types of things that the majority of sex offenders are Registered for under charges like "Sexual Assault of a Child", "Possession of Child Pornography", "Trafficking Child Pornography" Stranger Danger accounts for about 8% of all sex offense cases. Yet all Sex Offenders are treated as Stranger Danger cases, all sex offenders are treated as Pedophiles, all sex offenders are treated like a 60 year old man who kid napped a child from school and physically raped a 2 year old boy at gun point and then locked him in a box under his bed for 10 years. There is a problem with that when that is almost never the case in sex offenses. The way the Sex Offender database is set up today is designed to make you feel safe, not to keep you safe. It is mostly misinformation, not by intentional lie, but by perceived truth which is false.

First of all, don't speak to anyone without an attorney and do not sign a confession just to get out of a prison sentence. Second hire a lawyer who specializes in Sex Offense cases... a basic felony attorney will not be able to help you. You also want an attorney who has some type of pull with the court. For example someone who use to be the District Attorney and is friends with the judge and the prosicuter.

Incorrect. You have been brainwashed by Therapy into believing you are a monster. Because that is what sex offender therapy teaches you. The truth is I am a victim. Do I blame my offender? To a degree... but the honest truth is we could all be sex offenders at any moment. A man walking around in his own home in his underware is Indecency with a child. A man who is in the bathroom and forgets to lock the door and in walks his girlfriends daughter is felony exposure. You were 21, she was 15. You did not forcefully rape her. At 15 we all knew what we were doing, to a degree. I mean sure, we learn things as we get older but the reason it is illegal to have sex with a child is because they cannot make rational decisions... but why can't they? Because their frontal lobe is not fully functional. In fact at the age of 15 it is the least functional. But again, why? Because at the age of 14 the frontal lobe shuts down to redevelop. This means you are incapable of making rational choices on your own. But when does this problem fix itself? When you are 18 it begins to function once again... but wait, I don't remember a sudden change in perception... that is because there isn't. Your frontal lobe only begins to gradually function properly over time, it is not fully developed and functional until you are 28 years old. So no, a 21 year old should not suffer his whole life for an encounter with a 15 year old because their ability to make rational choices is not that far apart. A 40 year old man can manipulate a 15 year old child. A 21 year old male is incapable of manipulating his own zipper. In fact, it's more practical that a 15 year old female can manipulate a 21 year old male.

True, problem is most sex offense cases are not Pedophiles. You call every registered sex offender a pedophile, the truth is pedophiles are the exception of registered sex offenders not the rule. Nor is it true that Violent offenders is the rule, that is also the exception. Stranger danger accounts for 8% of all sex offense cases. Pedophile cases account for a small percentage of all sex offense cases. Most people you call Pedophiles were in high school with their "victim" charged with Sexual Assault of a Child... other people you call pedophiles were walking around their house in their underwear and got charged with indecency of a child, others were 16 who got a cell phone photo of their girlfriend nude... charged with Trafficking Child Pornography...
