For all of you illegal lovers out there who go on and on about how they are here to live the American Dream and to make a better life for themselves, now do you see why we want our country back? These people break our laws to better themselves and their families back home. This is BS. They should all be deported!

This story is starting to make a little more sense now. The first version sounded like nothing more than entrapment.

Up to this point the anti-Boughtonist have us believing that there is a vast right wing conspiracy at City Hall and the arrests at RM Insurance Services are all the mayor's doing. I guess it's happening in Bridgeport too.

I had stated before that I didn't see the connection between illegal immigration and this money-laundering. Now that the plot thickens and the net widens, methinks I'm about to stand corrected. Who will be the next "banana" to get a visit from the federal men in black? Let's commend the News-Times on what appears to be some fairly detailed and unbiased reporting on this story so far.

ataboy, there's a simple formula to use to predict the "anti-Boughtonist" reaction to srories like this:
1) Located a story in which Boughton's attention on a current topic is justified. Give it a rating of 1-10 in terms of justification.
2) Multiply it by 10,000
That's how loud in decibles the "anti-Boughtonists" will shriek that it's all the mayor's fault.
It's knee-jerk by now. Just plug in the numbers.

It's the legal ones who break the laws.

I have said that the "advocates" for these people lump legal and illegal together so that we won't notice that they are advocating for illegal. I have said in the past that I had no problem with legal, now I am even re-evaluating that. I am beginning to believe that they are here, legal or not, just to get what they can out of us legally or illegally. THIS INSANITY HAS TO STOP.

I think the Mayor has nothing to do with this; neither have all the insured motorists and business owners. I'm sure they're insured, they must receive their declarations page at home.

Shall we teach our children that it's okay to break some laws? I think not. Put the smack down & get them out of MY country ICE.

I hope that the News Times follows up and tells us who used the money laundering services at RM Insurance and BrazUSA. It would be nice to know.
This situation seems to validate the need for federal involvement in criminal activity. Only part of it so far is an ICE issue but this seems to be part of a bigger senario.
Danbury's Common Council did the right thing by formalizing the ICE agreement.
